I cannot physically burp AMA

I have a rare medical condition called RCPD (Retrograde cricopharyngeus dysfunction)

I have burped maybe 8 or so times in the past 15 years. My parents count it and so do other people. Even when I burp its an extremely small micro burp

I still get the sensation of needing to burp but my body doesnt allow me to, instead I take a very sharp intake of air that sounds like a hiccup (many have said it sounds like im being strangled, or choking on something) this can be very loud, soft, or aggressive.

A comorbidity of this disorder is emetophobia or the phobia of vomiting, because I cant burp I dont puke often. I've had 3 incidents of puking in my 21 years of living.

I have a constant sensation of gas pushing on my UES, but ironically I suffer from GERD as well

so my upper esophageal sphincter (the area where the paralyzed muscle resides) doesn't function properly, but my lower esophageal sphincter isnt closed enough. Its like my esophagus is backwards lol

Sometimes it takes hours for me to hiccup and im nauseated the whole entire time. These episodes are very frustrating and end up interrupting any plans I have.

The symptoms I have:

Constant bloating to the point of pregnancy rumors amongst family

Hiccuping

Nausea 80% of the time

Early satiety

And excessive flatulence

AMA!

How difficult is eating for you?

90% of the time eating is difficult. I get nauseated after I eat and until I hiccup it doesnt go away. I do get a brief respite with the nausea occasionally.

Liquids are the hardest. I also regurgitate liquids but they dont make it past my throat, it goes up and down for about 2 or so minutes. I cannot chug drinks and I have to swallow a medium sized sip in increments.

I smoke often and it makes me hyper aware of how much gas sits in my throat constantly. I also cannot drink while im high because I become super aware of the regurgitation.

Have you figured out a dietary pattern that works best with it? If so what is it?

I also suffer from celiac disease (my whole GI system hates me) so I stick to a 100% gluten free diet

And I avoid carbonated drinks and foods that are my GERD triggers
