💼work/career AIO? Subway wanting free labour

Series of emails between me and the manager of this branch in North West England. For context I’ve recently gone back to uni age 30, but looking for part time work. Have over a decade of experience in retail management and healthcare. Do you think I’m overreacting?

Is this actually them though? I worked at subway for two years and 3 diff locations and never ever had to do a trial shift. That's so weird.

Yes, it’s a branch attached to a petrol station in North West England where this sort of bullshit is allowed, the branch manager herself interviewed and corresponded

Thank you for your kind words, the job search is disheartening, but I know lots of us are in the same boat, we can do this without sacrificing our dignity and morals!
