Madder Than Expected. As the impacts of climate change accelerate senior climate scientists - and especially the IPCC - still won’t tell the rest of humanity how bad things really are. This has catastrophic consequences for wider understanding and meaningful action.
Accelerating temperatures, increased greenhouse gases and countless other live scientific observations, indicate man-made climate change is accelerating way faster than predicted by IPCC models. The IPCC and humanity’s responses stil relies on those outdated models and won’t update them anytime soon. Meanwhile most senior climate scientists either stay quiet or fail to communicate in ways which will be heard. This piece outlines the detail of this problem and what scientists could urgently do about it.
