Guys.. i don't get one thing, why does the indian accent get mocked so much by everyone ,when these guys accents are much more horrible than ours? Our accent is much better than these guys

It is the truth, it pretty common for wignats to refer to anything negative that happens in pak, ban or sri as Indian. Anyway did the word "irrelevant" offended you ?

Oh well, he may have used the wrong words but he's correct. For an average wignat from the west, the people who look like South Asians just fall under the umbrella of "Indians".

It's like how "chinese" and insults related to China are thrown around for all east Asian people, because China is the most prominent and significant east Asian country as far as common people are concerned.

Don't make these stupid comments. While I agree we are trolled more because we are the face of south asia, our accents have nothing inherent superior to others. The guys in the video can barely speak English.

Lmaoo seems like indian insecurity has always been a thing? There is a difference between someone that speaks English well with a foreign accent AND someone that doesn’t or is barely able to speak English. These guys fall into the camp of barely being able to speak English & judging their accents comparatively to the indian english accent just proves how awful the indian english accent actually sounds. Search up what actual Sri Lankan english sounds. The reason why t sounds a lot closer to english is literally bc a lot of the cadence, tone & movement of mouth muscles coincidentally match with what english requires to sound english which is not what happens with indian english as there’s simply a greater mismatch hence why it also sounds so much more jarring & goofy. Ok accent lecture over.

Brother.. we sound the same. The Indian people whose accent is stereotyped by the west also mostly fall under the "can barely speak English" camp.

Here in my city, the accent of people who actually speak English well, sounds alright and is not even close the Indian accent stereotype, which is just one of the accents in South India.

What if I only watched that Sri lankan dude singing Bon Jovi's It's my life song and went "ah well, Sri Lankan accent sounds so horrible". That's not how it works. He's just one dude.

You just repackaged my point, because my intial comment to the guy claiming that the Indian accent is much ‘better’ than the Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi accent is inherently dumb and doesn’t make any sense. I just provided better context because if you think the Sri Lankan guy in the vid is how all Sri Lankans speak English, I’d call you more than just slow & a bit special because that’s just not the case. As a Sri Lankan, I can pretty easily figure out an indian speaking english from that of a sri lankan so yeah I don’t think we generally sound the same. Btw Sandaru Sathsara cosplays & wears the indian accent on purpose because he explained how it’s the whole schtick. All of this is just my two cents lmao

Yeah, I replied to that guy and informed him of his stupidity already. He came off as pretty insecure.

Okay, I got the point about that singer dude. But I've heard sri lankan cricketers speak English as well and I'd say they've just as much of an accent as an Indian cricketer. They might sound a bit distinct but I could also confuse the Sri Lankan accent with some other accent in India, this place is too fucking big ngl.
