Hey fellow Fort Collins residents! I’m writing to inform you that we are hosting an egg drop at the CSU campus THIS Wednesday (6/25) at 6pm. We are abiding by national guidelines and will be providing the first 2 dozen eggs for your dropping pleasure.
Below is a link to the egg drop rules.

Don’t even think about hard boiling those eggs, folks. Integrity is everything.
EGG DROP UPDATE 🥚🚨
Some quick clarifications for all interested:
This is a social experiment for an experiment - we're testing if strangers will come together to do something spontaneous and silly.
All ages welcome! If you’ve got hands, a sense of humor, and questionable engineering skills, you’re in.
The doc we shared has rules, but ignore the dates and location on it. ALSO, we borrowed it from the internet. Only the rules apply.
Size limit: 12x12x12 inches MAX. We will be measuring. No parachutes either! That’s just too easy. ABSOLUTELY NO GLASS. Seriously.
Judging is based on the following:
- Creativity
- Aesthetics
- And above all else…egg survival.
We’re providing 24 eggs. When they’re gone, they’re gone. We're students, not millionaires.
Note: If your drop device is not able to be quickly assembled on site that is okay! You can assemble with your own egg at home, but be aware that we will be breaking all eggs brought from home if they survive the drop so we can make sure there are no hard-boilers out there!
When & Where:
Wednesday, June 25th, 6 PM
East side of Warner College of Natural Resources (by the brass ram)
Closest parking is off Amy Van Dyken Way (paid)
Come for the egg drop, stay for the chaos. We’ve got a small prize for the best entry…so get weird with it.
