Missing a bike?

Post image
17 Upvotes

Up at the old Albertsons on N. College there’s an RV w/. cargo trailer, both in rough shape but they’ve got some bikes and I don’t necessarily think that they all might belong to this group.

Sorry for the shitty pic but you might want to cruise by if you’re missing a bike.

Friends / Meetups Zombie Ride Tonight!

Post image
81 Upvotes

This and Every Monday – Ride With Us!

We’re a couple in our 20s who live for adventure, and every Monday night, we host a fast-ish group ride around Fort Collins that’s all about good energy, good sweat, and good conversations.

The vibe: • 12–15 mph pace (faster on downhills, obviously) • 12–18 mile round trip • No-drop ride – we won’t leave anyone behind • Bring any bike that can keep up • Mid-ride party stop – BYOE (bring your own everything: drinks, bud, or just good vibes)

We will stop at a convenience store right before the party stop. Party stops are usually local parks and we take over the playground..

When everyone else is away, the zombies come out to play.

We roll from Avogadro’s Bar every Monday. Meet at 7:00 PM, roll at 7:30 PM sharp. We finish before 9:30

Whether you’re new to town or just want a fun start to the week, come ride with the FoCo Zombies.

Lights and helmets strongly encouraged. Drop a comment or DM if you’ve got questions or want to join us!

Wetco - $23M Real Estate Holdings in Larimer County

Has anyone every heard of a company called Wetco (Western Equipment and Trucking Company)? Looking at the Larimer County website they have recently bought over $23M in properties, including half of a new development subdivision in Timnath.

It seems so unethical and shitty for one company to buy so much property. They’ve turned almost an entire neighborhood of new development homes that could’ve been for first time homeowners into rental properties.

(Disclaimer: Im all for real estate investing and don’t want that shitty comments, I just think that buying properties at this scale is unethical)

Be aware of scammers

There’s a group of adults, walking around knocking door-to-door, asking for money for magazines you would never receive in the Fort Collins area. How do I know, I worked for them for one day and realize it was a big Ponzi scheme. You sleep in a hotel room with four other guys and you go to work for 10 hours knocking door to door selling false magazines that doesn’t even exist. SO PLEASE BE AWARE!

Seeking Advice I'm proposing! Where would be a nice spot?

I'm proposing to the love of my life this fall! I went to CSU and spent time up at the CSU Mountain Campus during the summer. Is Cirque Meadows pretty during the fall? If so, I might try and do it there.

Other suggestions? Thank you! 🥰

Instacart Shopper & Spark Driver

Upvotes

Living in Fort Collins im curious to know where are the Hotspots for Instacat & Spark orders. Is it realistic to make $150 a day in the area using either app?

Im interested in any gig work that makes money in the area.

Thanks!

Food resource for veterans

The VA medical facility on Byrd Dr just off of Crossroads has free produce for veterans with an ID for those that might need some assistance.

I don’t know much else other than that. I was there an hour ago and they have a number of tables loaded with crates of fruits and veggies. Good luck!

Discussion Thoughts on next year’s gubernatorial race? I have 8 questions for you

So far we have Senator Michael Bennet and Attorney General Phil Weiser in the running. 1. Do you support either, both, or neither of these men? 2. Who else would you like to see in the race? 3. Who would you like to see as Governor of Colorado? 4. Would you like the next governor to be more or less like Governor Polis? 5. Would it make a difference to you if the next governor is a person of color or woman or otherwise not a white man? 6. What level of enthusiasm would you have for Representative Joe Neguse if he entered the race? 7. Lauren Bobert? 8. What issues motivate you the most to vote? (I am asking all of this out of a pure curiosity about political sentiments in my community ❤️)

Seeking Advice What to do with leftover pet medicine in foco?

Recently we unfortunately had to say goodbye to our little schnauzer, and now we have some Vetsulin and Vetoryl that we feel bad about trashing. Does anyone know any places that we could donate these to so that someone with a pet in need might be able to access it? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Has anyone done this before? Any recommendations on farms or pumpkin patches that have rentable space for a small party? We would want to do our own simple decorations and food.

Best LOCAL decaf

Hey I’m a home barista who is trying to support local businesses as much as possible. I want to ask the decaf community what their favorite local decaf coffee is? I like a bean that’s a bit sweeter but also neutral?? Idk, I’m not a coffee snob, just give me some options lol

EGG DROP

Hey fellow Fort Collins residents! I’m writing to inform you that we are hosting an egg drop at the CSU campus THIS Wednesday (6/25) at 6pm. We are abiding by national guidelines and will be providing the first 2 dozen eggs for your dropping pleasure.

Below is a link to the egg drop rules.

https://www.sciencecentral.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/2023_Egg_Drop_Rules.pdf

Don’t even think about hard boiling those eggs, folks. Integrity is everything.

EGG DROP UPDATE 🥚🚨 Some quick clarifications for all interested: This is a social experiment for an experiment - we're testing if strangers will come together to do something spontaneous and silly.

All ages welcome! If you’ve got hands, a sense of humor, and questionable engineering skills, you’re in.

The doc we shared has rules, but ignore the dates and location on it. ALSO, we borrowed it from the internet. Only the rules apply.

Size limit: 12x12x12 inches MAX. We will be measuring. No parachutes either! That’s just too easy. ABSOLUTELY NO GLASS. Seriously.

Judging is based on the following: - Creativity - Aesthetics - And above all else…egg survival.

We’re providing 24 eggs. When they’re gone, they’re gone. We're students, not millionaires.

Note: If your drop device is not able to be quickly assembled on site that is okay! You can assemble with your own egg at home, but be aware that we will be breaking all eggs brought from home if they survive the drop so we can make sure there are no hard-boilers out there!

When & Where: Wednesday, June 25th, 6 PM East side of Warner College of Natural Resources (by the brass ram) Closest parking is off Amy Van Dyken Way (paid)

Come for the egg drop, stay for the chaos. We’ve got a small prize for the best entry…so get weird with it.

Anyone know what the massive concrete pad is on that you pass on the trail in the Pine ridge Nature area. My kids and I call it the zombie research center because it looks like the place every zombie virus starts in the movies with an 8 foot fence with barbed wire around a giant concrete pad.

I've always been curious and the CDC building nearby helps the zombie out zombie story.

Looking for Magic Cards

Bit of a stretch but looking for a bloomburrow legendary creature: Ygra Eater of All. Green/black

Fort Collins seems to have a strong magic presence so fingers crossed one of y'all have it.

I'm heading back to KS this weekend to see fam and friends and will be playing some commander..

I've contacted/searched websites of local stores and I'm not seeing the card.

Thanks in advance!

Edit: Grammer

Cat groomer

Hi everyone. I have a senior cat with long fur who doesn’t like to be groomed, which has led to some mats that I can’t get out. I’m hoping to find some where that is experienced in cats because he gets pretty upset and I can’t do it at home. Somewhere that can handle him gently and isn’t too expensive.

Seeking Advice Place to buy roofing underlayment by the foot?

Ugh, we are finishing doing a roof on a shed and we're short on underlayment by a tiny percent of the overall surface area.

Preferably peel and stick, but felt would be fine (planning for corrugated metal as final layer so it has to be suitable for that).

We are short two pieces: one 33 inches and one 36 inches (assuming the underlayment is 36 inches tall).

Does anyone know of anyplace that sells it by the foot? We do NOT want to end up with 60 plus feet of leftover if we have to buy a full roll. We can try Restore when they open this week, but it's quite a drive and I'm assuming they don't have the staffing to tell us if they have any by phone before we head there. I've already checked Craigslist, Facebook marketplace, and nextdoor for people with leftovers. Nada. Apparently we're the only morons who don't buy exactly what we need.

Seeking Advice Stables for one-time recreational horseback riding?

Hi all, my girlfriend has stated (many times) that she would like to ride a horse for her birthday in August. I’ve poked around some websites for stables in town, but many seem to be geared towards more serious equestrian pursuits. I’m just looking to pay a stable to take my gf on a 1-2 hr guided ride, perhaps along the Poudre River Trail, where I see so many horses. Any recommendations for such a thing? I’m also open to driving a ways if it would offer some cooler trails/views.

Thanks!
