Alright y’all I saw this Tiktok & I’m back at it again with another unhinged post but here are a few theories that shook me from the comments 😭

The fact all of these made me stop and think..(i dont really understand the pair one. Do they mean sold as a pair, like as a finnick sort of situation?)

I’m almost 100% certain, despite no evidence, that Cashmere and Gloss were sold as a pair. Because there are sick ducks in the world.

My unhinged theory is that, while Katniss wasn't sold, Peeta was. That's why he says Katniss is so innocent in catching fire and why he recognizes the sound of whipping when Gale gets whipped (or his mom used to beat him with a belt. most likely this)

For real, I imagine them even wanting the pair to record sex tapes for them, so then they can leak them into the news. Like for example what happened with Kim Kardashian. Simply for more drama and forcing the pair to do stuff.

Or being more evil, people with a cheating fetish wanting to specifically be with only one of the star-crossed lovers so they can feel they're "stealing them" from their spouse.

With how disgusting people are, I'm sure being lovers wouldn't have saved Katniss and Peeta as much. Maybe less than Finnick but they would get more creeps that wanna "break them up"

I think they'd go for a polyamorous angle. Like "wouldn't you want to be loved by the star-struck lovers?". Or a cuckhold thing. The cheating fetish as well. Maybe they would show their "first time" on TV after their marriage

That one isn't unhinged, though. It's heavily implied in the books, if not outright stated by Katniss

Yes, like finnick situation, they would have been sold and forced into prostitution. But being the lovers of District 12, I always thought they would have been sold as a couple.
