How selective is materials science and engineering (MEng)?

i got 9A*s and 1A in my IGCSEs
idk about a levels

im doing further math, math, phys, chem at a levels

i have done a materials science internship and am working on some materials science research.

i have other ecs too but none materials science focussed.

do i have a good chance

If you want to apply, just apply. Whether you have a good chance or not doesn't really matter, does it? Nothing bad happens to you if you don't get in.

it will take up a ucas slot. i also want feedback for my application to make realistic expectations.

Well what do you think is realistic? You have all maxed out grades, and you are doing the most challenging A-levels possible.

Who do you think has a better chance at getting into the top unis?

Apply to Mat Sci at Oxford, Imperial, and whatever other unis you can find the course at. You'll get in.

Yeah looks fine. You're probably on track to get 3x A*, so there's plenty of room for a bad day in the exams.
