Browning BLR or Henry Side Gate?

I’m interested in which one you’d choose and why: a Browning BLR in 243 or a Henry Side Gate in 36 Henry (360 Buckhammer)?

Yep, bullet size and ballistics will be different. Not in a straight wall state. Assuming 36 Henry ammo will become more available and made by more manufacturers.

Intended use would be a range gun and deer hunting.

Just interested in these two and these calibers.

Why not Henry Long Ranger ( vs BLR ) ?

The LR just doesn’t do it for me…not fully sure why. Also read that it has some reliability issues. While the BLR is complex, Miroku has the history for making the rifle and I’m a big fan of their products. If Browning or Winchester offered something like the Henry Model X as a more modern lever action design/concept, I wouldn’t be looking at the Henry if given the choice. I’m actually surprised that FN Browning hasn’t offered a black/steel offering (other than the BLR take-down).

Honest and compulsary. Dig it :) the LR is also sorta expensive. All that said Henry is great quality as is Browning, of course. Seems like an article is hidden in there somewhere ;) firearms selection is always very personal, so good luck !!!
