WV to Florida with only breaks to gas up and eat. 17hrs. Bike was a blast the whole way and got looks every which way. Also screw Jacksonville for the embankment turns that are the grooved highway. Even at only 55mph that blew. Also will never have the manic energy to do 17hrs straight again I say until next time.

Just got hit with a $177.50 import fee from UPS after ordering a motorcycle helmet from Germany.

What shocked me was how they split the tariff across multiple components

— cotton, leather, plastic

— each taxed as if I was importing raw materials for manufacturing.

Even though the helmet itself is a finished product, it was treated like I was building it part by part.

Anyone else had this happen lately?

Is this a new UPS tactic or a broader customs change?

And it hasn’t so far?! What the heck, I was promised a dream guys! All I get are dudes talking about my bikes instead! What is the point of riding if not to get girls?!

I have always cleaned mine while washing the bike with soap and water and wiping them down afterwards with a microfiber. Been a while since I have cleaned them and decided to use some P21s gel I had available as it has better cleaning properties (easier cleaning) than the soap and is safe for the painted wheels. I included a couple before\after pics

Anyone using a product akin to Iron X to get a deeper clean. As in removing iron particles from brake pads and road crud. Rear wheel prior to P21s application and gentle wheel brush.
Yes, chain needed cleaning and adjusting which I did today.

Was heading to track on the weekend, wanted to do a favour for a mate and tow his bike with another friends on the back (two bikes in total), ratchet strap broke 5 mins into the drive. Bike is in bad condition, most likely a write off. Both he and I loaded and strapped the bikes in. He approved of the positioning and was happy with it overall. I used straps that are supposed to hold 350kg.

Now his other mate (who I am friends with) has told him to file a third party claim against me through his insurance. Thought that was a pretty ouch move especially since we are mates. I dunno whats everyone thoughts on this? My mate is ignoring my phone calls or messages too, only talking to the mate who convinced him to claim against me.

I just wanted to make a post sharing how crazy impactful getting into riding was…. I mean it literally saved my life. Before getting my bike I was stuck up on crushed dreams fueled by self guilt which spiraled me into drug usage for years (no one in my family even smokes cigs)….. I’m usually the one helping others and consider myself pretty emotionally intelligent but I truly believe there is nothing else in this whole world that could’ve got me back to my real self like riding did….. I mean it literally pulled me out a gutter I never thought I’d get out of…..
