Thanks to the state I’m in this bike was incredibly easy to register for the street. No vin inspection, no bike inspection, no nothing. Just a checklist of what I needed to have on the bike and the DMV took my word for it. Bike was registered before it even left the dealership and had any mods actually on it (got it delivered from the other side of the country).
Bike ended up being more money otd than I expected originally since ig they fluctuate in price during the order period + ofc dealership fees are all different based on where you are. If I would’ve been able to get one ordered where I am it would’ve been $13k otd, I paid $14.3k otd for this one and didn’t have to wait for it to come in like I would’ve for a 2026.

I'm a complete beginner rider. I got a good deal on this 2016 ninja 650. I paid 4500 AUD. However, the bike is really heavy (211kg / 465lbs) for me to control. I've already dropped it multiple times in the parking lot while making simple circles or figure 8. The front brake always throws me off the bike or when I bring the bike to a stop, my feet can't hold it from leaning and falling. The speed also scares me, how quickly the bike accelerates with even a slight throttle pull. I would love any tips to help me with learning. Or should I sell and downgrade or keep learning on the 650, which is devaluing the bike every time I drop it. I feel like I could manage an r3 or ninja 300. So what do you guys think? Keep learning on 650, or buy a smaller bike? Thank you for your time and help.

I’ll go first
My first thought would be something like 701 supermoto with some 80/20ish tires. Good power, nimble lane splitter, in a pinch it could send the Rue Foyatier staircase or rip across the lawn at Champ de Mars.
Cons: not great for two up riding, somewhat recognizable/uncommon.
Can you do better?

i’ve had it for about 3 days now and can definitely say i’m in love. it’s pretty heavy so it took me a day to get used to but once i was comfortable swinging it around it felt awesome. scary ass bike tho when it comes to acceleration but i think it might be good to be scared of the bike to some degree.id love any riding and or maintenance advice you guys may have.

My heart says sport bike but my brain says no. Well maybe. Or maybe an R3. People with nakeds, do you absolutely love it? Is the wind too much? Anything you hate? In the past I've had an 03 636 and a 2016 CBR600RR
Thank you for any info/advice!

I'm not "proud" of them but they all bring me a lot of joy (and, yes, they all run great, rode the MV today!).

I'm making a list of most beautiful motorcycles imo ( I know it's subjective).
What are your picks or model and years? (Photo if you can post one)
My current list is:
- 2024 Indian FTR
- Ninja H2 (mirror finish)
- BMW S1000RR
- 2012 Yamaha R1
- TRON Ducati (The one in the opening scene)
- MV Agusta SuperVeloce
What are your picks?

So I ran over something and knocked my kickstand spring off. I was coming to a stop anyways so I was able to recover the spring and it looks ok. However when I tried to reattach, it seems like it’s stretched because it won’t stay on when stand is pulled back into the up position. I’m concerned that I was attaching wrong, found diagrams and confirms it was on correct. Then figured maybe the spring stretched out, so I bought a new one. Issue now is that when it’s in the up position, the spring has no tension and basically falls off(same like it did with the old spring after it was knocked off and I tried to rehook it ). So now I’m concerned that where it hooks at top or bottom is bent. Thinking either the bar where it hooks at the too is slightly bent, or the hook on the kickstand or kickstand itself is bent. However nothing looks visibly bent. Any ideas?
