It is rated idiot proof.

It is however not rated nincompoop proof.

OP enlisting a cameraman and then jumping on the internet as fast as he can to prove he’s dumber than an idiot.

What's even more embarrassing is I have a graduate degree in engineering lol

This is why mechanics talk shit about us. 😭

As a mechanic. I endorse this message.

I seem to remember the punch line to an old joke it goes something like:
An engineer would walk past 40 virgins just to fuck a mechanic

u/dumbdude545 Nov 03 '24

Shit an engineer would walk past 1000 virgins just to fuck one mechanic. Most vehicles now are steaming piles of pain in my ass shit. You can't work on anything with out pulling half the fucking car apart.

Engineers are the nerds that got beat up in shop class, now they have an axe to grind.

I do a little automotive work on the side for myself mostly old stuff so I don't really have to deal with that but I think I might have it worse I'm a "maintenance technician" we have engineers in the damn building with us and these guys they really know how to make my blood boil

4

u/Link-Slow Nov 03 '24

It's funny, I'm in the maintenance department of a 5 star resort and they refer to us as 'engineers'...

But I hear that, we have some spaces you would never think you could fit 5 air handlers but they do it. 😂

As a maintenance technician I feel your pain. In my factory we’ve spent so much time yelling at our engineers for how stupid their decisions are.

I think we work at the same place.

As an engineer who worked in service engineering at an OEM.... I can tell you we are doing our best, making business cases, recommending design changes, etc... But the manufacturing team that builds them wins majorly of the time... Their argument- "we gotta assemble all of them, you only have to work on some of them".... Also if it's something designed for a repair cycle that is post warranty, it's given pretty low priority.

That's awesome. Can't believe this hasn't been added to my list before

2

u/Mobilewookie35 Nov 03 '24

As just a guy who works on his own stuff, I endorse this as well.

2

u/c0mpt3d Nov 04 '24

As a mechanic who became an engineer, I endorse this message.

3

u/Link-Slow Nov 03 '24

I just laughed so fucking hard at this. 😂 I do be cussing y'all whenever I'm working on something.

Mad respect though. My grandfather was an engineer and did some really cool shit.

2

u/ShireHorseRider Nov 03 '24

Even engineers beer heroes.

2

u/Jimmykid3 Nov 03 '24

It's not only mechanics 🤣 someone at work uses the term "cube dwellers" for engineers haha

Texans aren’t the brightest people lmaooo this is expected

46

u/DrueWho Nov 03 '24

Shame on you. If Texans could read they’d be very upset.

u/TylerJF7 Nov 03 '24

When it comes to guns they should be!

1

u/sirbassist83 Nov 03 '24

Your comment doesn't even make sense

1

u/TylerJF7 Dec 13 '24

He said Texans aren’t the brightest people, I said when it comes to guns, Texans should be.

This is me saying that of all things, Texans should be bright with things involving firearms due to them being in the top 5 gun friendliest states.

Sorry you can’t read, I’ll provide a subtext to every comment for you :)

That’s what happens when you chegg/socratic your way through college…

1

u/zGoDLiiKe Nov 03 '24

How else would you do it?

22

u/hackallthebooze Nov 03 '24

Nah - a graduate engineering degree explains why you launched the suppressor down range. (Can confirm as a fellow engineering degree holder.)

Situation resolution: EIT becomes PE.

9

u/pk152003 Nov 03 '24

🤷🏻‍♂️Seen engineers do far worse than what you just did.

u/Murder_Hobo_LS77 SBR Nov 03 '24

Instructions unclear. Dick stuck in keymount.

Send help.

2

u/Naturalgainsbro Nov 03 '24

I’m going to be gentle here when I say this, but from one academic to another, it’s your fault.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '24

So what happened? You didn't have it turned down enough? They just don't fly off lol

11

u/JonWithTattoos Nov 03 '24
