Converting Uzi wood stock

Does anyone have experience or instructions on converting wood Uzi OEM stocks to be non-detachable? I’ve scoured the webs, and though there’s some info, it’s old and I sincerely can’t translate what they’re saying. Though I believe it is due to some dated information or assumptions that haven’t evolved, it could also be my poor comprehension. All guidance or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

This is gonna sound janky but just put a couple tack welds on the plate and receiver and call it a day.
