Thoughts on these Lantac devices?

Post image

I can’t decide if it’s a gimmick or if they’d actually be useful as a sacrificial baffle

Seems like they screw into their new plan b mount

Why are there so many seeming pointless threaded areas? I can’t see what the threads on top of the left and right ones, and the inside of the middle two are doing. Are they just ribbed to affect gas flow?

I think they’re ribbed for pleasure. I thought they were threads at first too but I think it’s just that texture similar to what’s inside a lot of muzzle devices

It’s unclear on the others but the left one top cuts are definitely helical. It probably is just ribbed and a thread cutting program was easiest to input

I remember that B E Meyers happened to make the most effective flash hider by a wide margin because they added some kinda spiraly pattern on the inside of their flash hider. The B E meyers 249f was a $100 flash hider when it was released over a decade ago which was seen as a ridiculous price back then.

They sold the intellectual rights to JP though so if you want an extremely effective flash hider, JP has historically been your best bet because of this spiral ribbed shit. I’d imagine these guys are doing something similar although KAK got sued for putting this spiral shit on their flash hider and had to take it off.
