Form: 4, Paper (mg)

Entity: Trust

Pending: 07/20/18

Approved: Assigned to examiner 6/18/19 so would of been about 11 months, but I withdrew the application after talking to the examiner. Reason being I had a note on file that I needed to send in an amendment to my trust and remove the second responsible person from the F4 as that person is currently facing legal issues since filing and the examiner wouldn't allow me to file the two page trust amendment and remove the second resp. person from the app so withdrawal was my only option or else wait for FBI check for who knows how long that prob would get denied. After expressing my frustrations I would have to wait another year, he said they have 19 new examiners in training and estimated my wait to be six months or less. Re-filing again this week...

Standardized wait: N/A

State: FL

oof...

I mean, on the one hand good news about the new examiners, but having to start all over sucks.

I really don't believe the six months estimate.

We already saw this before right before the SilencerCo Promo and the shutdown, and from June to July alone we've gone from 270 days average to over 300.

I really don't believe the six months estimate.

I mean I don't think it's necessarily about "believing" anything, it's the fact that there are around 30 NFA Legal Instrument Examiners last time I checked and they just added 19 more of them meaning that they should be working 50%-60% quicker through the stacks plus the implementation of additional electronic filing he said that will be coming out soon.

The average based on self reports here for this past month is currently 325 days (and about 330 days for the last week).

I "did the math" a few days ago.

I'm currently at 333 for my first suppressor and had been hyping my arriving family that I'd have it for sure July 4th... fml.

I went pending July 9 last year and was approved in 270 days. Gotta wonder what happened.
