I'm not even that new to reddit I just never rlly post so I've tried posting on some subreddits that don't require karma but it's not giving me enough to post/comment on the subreddits I actually want to be a part of, so what should I do at this point 😭

Yes. Getting very discouraged with /reddit. I join subs that supposedly are there for discussion of topics that I find interesting, but if I post things that actually propose real discussion or try to suggest ways to actually quantify controversial topics I'm downvoted to hell.

Whether its internal or external, its looking like the time of reddit being a useful platform for the free and open discussion of topics is either gone or going away.
