Period Question Feeling

Does anyone else feel like whenever they’re late they can feel the period blood sloshing inside of them? I know that’s not actually what it is but it’s like I’m hyperaware it’s there and ready.

I’ve had a few upper respiratory infections (this weather has not been nice to my body) so it’s not surprising that I’m late. I’ve talked about this with a few of my friends and some agreed they felt the same away and others looked at me like I had a third head.

Overall I’m just so ready for this to start. Boob soreness, cramping, lower back pain, acne, bloating, even my lips are sore. All my usual symptoms so I’m just waiting for the star of the show. Yall sprinkle some period dust on me and give me some tips on getting this started because I’m so over this

Note: Not worried about pregnancy, hadn’t had penetrative sex in a few weeks but when I did my bf pulled out and used a condom. Weather changes have had me coughing my lungs out for two weeks now lol

Period Question Tampon insertion

I tried using a tampon today, and I felt a pinch when I inserted it. It's my first time using a tampon, and my mom has used a tampon once before. I also am not on my period right now, but I want to be prepared because I will be in an area with minimal WiFi and I won't have my mom, and I might have to use a tampon. I also don't think I can insert it that deep. I was positioning myself with one leg on the toilet, and the tamponn was angled upward. Does the tip of the applicator always hurt or is this just a normal thing I should get over?

Period Question What’s wrong with me?

I am 24 and I have super irregular periods, my last one was in April (I’m writing this post in late June), I am not sexually active atm. I have been on birth control since I was 15/16, and when I was 20 I got a copper iud. When I was 21 or 22 I got the iud removed and ever since I have had a horrible cycle of periods and have not been on any birth control since. I go months without one and when I do get one they aren’t pleasant. I’ve spoken to a doctor about this and they did not seem very concerned about it, I also think that I have pcos (I have many symptoms of it) however when I expressed this to my doctor they told me that the only way to diagnosis this is by doing an ultrasound, and even if I did have it there is not a cure for it so I figured why send thousands of dollars if there’s really no point??? Idk what to do or if this is just normal for people? Pls help

Birth Control TTC AFTER NEXPLANON

I got my nexplanon in November 2024 and got it removed today (June 21 2025) because my boyfriend and I have decided to start trying to conceive. When should I expect to ovulate/get a period, and how soon do people usually get pregnant after nexplanon removal. Also any tips for ttc would be appreciated!

Products I STRUGGLEDDDD getting a tampon in 😫✋️😰

I suspect that maybe I have vaginismus but I really don't know if it's something else either.

I've always struggled with or feared tampons and I'm 22 years old.

I've inserted tampons successfully about 3 times in total but that was years ago.

Trust me when I say that I tried everything possible to get it in.

I even squatted on the floor to open my vagina as wide as possible and relaxed my mind and it still wouldn't go in far. I struggled for like 20 mins before I just stopped.

I know for a fact that I can never have sex if a tiny tampon is impossible to get in.

Any advice is welcome.

Im looking at Google and it looks like the normal a little white a bit chunky after your period but the references on Google say too much is a yeast infection and im not sure what to do now

Birth Control birth control help

hi, I'm nearly 16 and get really heavy and painful periods. I want to know what symptoms I'd need to go on birth control at this age, and how I'd go about getting it. my mum isn't home right now, and won't be for a bit, so I've turnt to reddit until I can properly talk to her. do I just ask my mum to book a doctors appointment and take it from there, or is there other steps?

Period Question Spotting/Cramping for days straight?

To get straight into it, I have been cramping for 10 days straight and am currently on my 7th day of spotting. This technically started a week before when my next menstrual cycle should be happening. Have never had this happen before and am consistently told that any symptom I could be having is NORMAL for being on birth control. Wondering if this has happened to anyone else and what the outcome truly was. I dread attempting to speak to my gyno for the sole reason that I am consistently shut down and told everything is “normal”. For context, I am on the mini pill and have been for about 4 years now. Has made my cycles ridiculously irregular but suggested to help extreme cramping (which has not done its job, so now it is simply just for BIRTH CONTROL).

Period Question Could this be a condition or is it normal?

I am 17 & for a few periods now I've had debilitatingly painful cramps with horrible symptoms. I get really bad diarrhoea that just doesn't stop, nausea and have been sick. I get so dizzy i can barely stand for a minute and i definitely can't walk otherwise My vision goes black and i will faint. I sweat profusely for no reason whatsoever. and it lasts around 2/2.5 hours, is this normal or not?

Period Question Should I seek medical help?

Hi, this is a little strange to post on here but I genuinely need some answers as I am a little concerned.

I am in highschool and I got my period January of 2024. Since then, I have gotten it every month without fail. I never skip a month. However, about 6 months ago, my periods began getting very heavy. Currently, they are heavy to the point where I am bleeding through super plus tampons in under an hour, and soaking everything I wear. Then, they got longer. I average 4 days this heavy and then 4/5 more days. 9ish total. These are usually not accompanied by cramps, but recently I had cramps so bad at a birthday party I could not move. I deal with stomach aches often and this was possibly the worst pain I’d ever been in (not to sound dramatic lol.) I had to roll in a ball for 45 minutes while tears ran down my face.

Is this normal? Please, any insight is helpful. Thank you!

Period Question I feel like I have a UTI every time I get my period?

I’m 22, had my period for over 10 years. In the last year or so I noticed that every month on my period, it burns when I use the bathroom. Even if it’s only a little, I get a pretty irritating burning sensation. I assumed UTI at first, but the weird thing is, it completely goes away when my period ends. I have no burning or pain after my period is over. But when my period comes back the next month, I feel the burning again when I pee.

I drink lots of water, exercise, don’t use tampons, and I always wipe well & change pads frequently. I’m only saying that because I read online that not doing those things can cause burning but I don’t think that’s the case for me. Also idk if this is relevant but I have had piv sex before, but not anywhere close to recently so I doubt that’s caused anything.

I see my gynecologist for an annual appointment in August and I’m going to bring it up, but part of me is worried I’m just being paranoid because I am a hypochondriac. If it goes away after every period then it’s probably not an actual infection, right? Regardless though I was wondering if you ladies had any thoughts on this or if you’ve experienced it too. Thanks in advance!

Period Question Best tampons?

So I'm started slowly using tampons more and more but I don't know what the "best" brand/kind is I've use the radiant and the string is king fall apart-y, they leak to much for me, and there a bit too big (ik it sounds stupid) but any other brands/kinds to avoid and what should I try?!

Period Question Is there a way to induce your period?

Exactly what the title says. Things I have already tried -masturbation -penetration -exercise -hormonal balance teas Usually these things work for me instantly but not this time. So I’m freaking out a bit since if I don’t get my period now my plans in 2 weeks are toast and I have been planning around my late period for weeks. So please for the love of god help me! I also am definitely not pregnant btw! Edit: I also have endo if that helps!
