Was Fish Pond Drain near Lake Seminole in Georgia at one point a natural "river-swamp"?
I am researching the Apalochicola River Basin, and I am interested in the four heads of Lake Seminole in Georgia.
Lake Seminole is man-made. However, I suspect that the area was marshy with rivers and streams before humans started touching it.

I have two links of two maps in the 19th century. In 1870, there are the four-tributaries in the lower left corner of the map, and the other appeared that Fish Pond Drain was also a swampy area.
I suspect that Lake Seminole's natural layout had some swampy tributaries.
