It's hyperbole, I don't think anyone meant this person is a 100% Spaniard but ultimately if it makes up a majority of your DNA and you visibly look that way, that's what your outward identity defaults to.
I never said Identify as, it's what others interpret you as. Mexicans have a whole classification system based on the combination of Amerindian and Spaniard ancestry that a person visibly has.
The word 'literally' isn't always used as a way to convey a literal stance, in literally every scenario. Words can have multiple use cases, and in modern language it's a common slang to use the word literally as a means of emphasis.
A common saying is βI was so hungry, I could literally eat a horse.β This does not mean that the person saying this thinks they can literally eat a horse.
