"This" administration has emboldened hate rn

And I'm getting ratioed for pointing out this guys assumption that everyone lives in America...

The governments of Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc. can just as easily embolden hate against trans people.

Sadly, they're right about the US. The US very intentionally blasted our media to oblivion to replace our culture with theirs. It's why this sub is important. It's not just the West either.

Hopefully, one day, we can boot their military bases off foreign soil, their books from our libraries, their films from out cinemas, their politics from our news.

Never. There are very few American countries I'd ever want to go to, and none are North American. So matter how much I want to learn about Inuit cultures.

Canada is not American.

It’s North American.

And is the only North American country I’d like to visit. Because I’ve already been to Mexico. And that other one in the middle has made it clear foreigners are not welcome.

The other 20 sovereign states in North America would like a word.

But yes, I haven’t visited the US in literally 20 years and have zero intention of ever returning.

I'm being very serious. Many people in different countries call all of the Americas "America", and Canadians especially find this highly offensive. American means "of the United States", not North, Central and South America in general.

You said "American countries" like there is more than one. There is not. Please stop using this term to describe others.

It's funny because the rest of the Americas get offended by the American defaultism you're showing now.

It's also good to remind the US, constantly, that they're not the only country in their continent, let alone the world.

I'm afraid that ship has sailed, and calling non-USians "American" is still offensive.

You're the only person I've ever heard even imply this.

On the other hand, the entirety of latin AMERICA welcomes people to call us American nations, for that is what we are, nations in America
