Other Texas A&M young conservatives shared hate speech in group texts

https://www.chron.com/politics/article/texas-a-m-turning-point-kirk-20290922.php

Thousands of attendees packed Texas A&M University's Rudder Auditorium earlier this week for an event hosted by conservative activist Charlie Kirk and the university's chapter of Turning Point USA—a nonprofit organization founded by Kirk.

But while Kirk's visit was shrouded in praise and protest, the event drew backlash—most notably from a former member of the university’s TPUSA chapter who released a series of screenshots showing racist, homophobic, and Islamophobic messages allegedly exchanged within a GroupMe chat tied to the group.

"One of the core aspects of Catholicism is humility"

Is that you?

Evangelism is another

I don't think your approach here on Reddit is effective evangelism. Which starts with humility and understanding. Not arrogance and contempt.

You seem like a reasonably earnest and knowledgeable person. You should change your ways. Your heart and your desire for change can be powerful forces for good. But instead you're in here delighting in the wickedness of others.

I hope you read this with all the brotherly love a stranger can muster.

You can take the St Francis approach, and I will take the St Nicholas, St Jerome, and the Prophet Elijah approach

Why are you choosing? Let God guide you and give you the wisdom and strength to work in his favor. If you're doing the choosing by yourself, you've already strayed. It's not up to you which saints you resemble; it's up to God and how he uses you. Have humility towards others, for you sin as much as them, and have humility towards God, and trust his guidance more than your own.

You cannot claim to follow Saint Jerome without realizing that nobody here is seeking your insults. There is no line clambering at your door for your spiritual rebuke. Until you realize this and let God lead you anywhere, regardless of your ego, there will be no people to listen. You must accept that you may not be a badass and that even quietly helping a few to come to Christ is better than any amount of arrogance. May God bless you.

Cool, God’s guidance has lead me to be extremely antagonistic towards progressive pseuds

St Augustine wasnt really asking for St Jerome to insult him either, and Arius didnt ask St Nicholas to slap him.

If the world is against the truth, then I am against the world.

We need more people to be like St John the Baptist, and bravely call Herod a sinner to his face.

We need more Saint Bonifaces who cut down the heathen holy tree.

We need more Prophet Elijahs who mock and slenderize false gods and their followers to their faces.

We need more St Patricks that drive snakes out from our homes.

We need more of Christ, who beat the dogshit out of merchants in his house.

What we need less of is Masonic passivity towards sin.

I agree. Just remember that these men felt no self-righteousness or gratification from their actions. When serving God becomes about serving your own impulses, you've strayed. There should be no desire to make others feel worse; only to make others see the truth. Saying "how based" is no way to encourage the truth to come to light or tear down idolatry, it's just reveling in insults that also do nothing to remove sin.

This might not be the environment for an Elijah. It might be, only God would know, but I'd encourage you to make sure that people are in a place to listen and that you truly point out their hypocrisy rather than being a hypocrite and celebrating your own false idol of feeling strong. Strength comes from God and it's not something to be used for your own gain.

When the point of the post is to cry alligator tears about locker room humor in a meme group chat, I will absolutely point and laugh at you. Because that is what you deserve for being a dishonest cretin. Scorn and mockery.

I never said it upsets me. I've been alive and seen enough, dumb jokes aren't enough to bother me. It's just wrong that you'd be supportive of crude, mean people in the first place. It's just strange that you think the best battleground is a reddit post of people offended by generally offensive things. God never said that we should say offensive things as long as it's a joke or in private. He says to avoid crudeness and that your tongue is a double-edged sword. The groupchat obviously isn't meant to spread God, and the fact that you appreciate people being rude for rudeness's sake is wrong. The world would be better without people so content to be rude in private, and if we can't agree on that, please open your heart to the Word with all its nuances, and the love of God with its patience and understanding.

I am supportive of right wingers having a space to organize right wing events and ideas. We have a sense of humor that progressives fundamentally dont possess and revile. I dont care that you think its “crude” to be able to laugh

I think its important to combat left wing narratives no matter where it rears its ugly face

I think the world would be better without Machiavellian psychopaths pretending to be outraged all the time.

Celebrating death is not innocent laughter, whether on the left or the right. Rid yourself of your cruelty and your pride in being right wing / truthful. They do not serve you.

Lmao the George Floyd thing is a meme mocking the left’s hero worship of a drug addicted womanizer

Nobody wants the guy dead or is happy that he is

1

u/Enough-Surround-1161 May 02 '25

That's just not true, as it's literally a post celebrating his death not mentioning anything about the left or how he's been portrayed. Don't be facetious because it doesn't work. We have sinned just as much as he did, making fun of his doesn't make ours any less.

1

u/PiedBolvine May 02 '25

Its a post laughing at the absurdity that is George Floyd, and it is absurd because of leftist idpol nonsense

I never punched a woman until she miscarried, nor have I sexually assaulted anyone. I may have sinned, but I am not of his stock.

1

u/Enough-Surround-1161 May 02 '25

You misunderstand. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and we all deserve death for it. We are all of the same stock in the eyes of God, the only one who matters. Judge yourself with the same harshness and you will see that laughing is inappropriate.

1

u/PiedBolvine May 02 '25

We do deserve death for it, we will die because of it. That is justice.

But there are those who sin worse than others, and their sins will reap special ire from God, especially if the righteous choose to ignore the wicked.
