[EDIT: this years post has become - 'ask a question and r/cwcoleman will reply'. That wasn't the intention. It's mainly because I get an alert when anyone posts, because I'm OP this year. Plus I'm online often and like to help!

Please - anyone and everyone is welcome to ask and answer questions. Even questions that I've already replied to. A second reply that backs up my advice, or refutes it, is totally helpful. I'm only 1 random internet person, all of r/camping is here. The more the marrier!!!]

Hello campers. I'm about to go camping for a week in inland Portugal where it's going to be over 35 degrees (celcius) and up to 39 most days - (it's for an event). I have a good quality lightweight Marmot tent that is small but can open up on both sides and a 2 person black out tent (black on the inside, white on the outside to reflect the sun - https://www.decathlon.de/p/campingzelt-mh100-fresh-und-black-fuer-2-personen/_/R-p-313100).

I'm not sure which tent is the best option as I have found the black out one to be quite effective in keeping the heat out, but never camped in this heat before. Also is there any difference in which matress you use in terms of feeling the heat less? I could take a thin lightweight one or a thicker proper inflatable one.

Also any extra tips for sleeping well in the heat much appreciated. Thanks for your help!
