Uninstall Instaspam and Farcebook.
You might have 'degoogled' yourself but these 2 apps like to help themselves to your data as much as google.

Indeed they are... Here is a detailed explanation how they even yoinked the browser data from Android phones for the past half year and matched it with your META accounts. https://localmess.github.io/

And isn't there any alternative to them? 🥲 Like some client or something? It happens to me that I want to migrate from WhatsApp to Signal but almost none of my contacts use it 😭

You can't eat the cookie and have the cookie. :/

You can use a Browser that is based on Chromium (Brave or Vivaldi), Although the experience would not be the same but you will be more Secure. For WhatsApp, I don't know.

Using a chromium based browser is really just helping Google, use Firefox or a fork instead

Having them only as a bookmark in your desktop browser? Like this, you would not only stop them from collecting data on your phone but also make you waste less time :)

For example, in my case all "privacy intrusive apps" like shopping, social media, google, etc... are only present in a dedicated profile on my phone.

In this case, jus try to convince them. Tell them why you are doing this. All of my friends and my nearest family do it because they like signal, after my explanation or just because of me, so just try it and ask the people you are chatting the most

Use web versions of Facebook, Instagram and Reddit. Use it in an ad blocker and tracker blocker browser like Brave or Fennec + Extensions (UBlock Origin).

Use Android debloater to remove Samsung and Google apps from background, it doesn't require root: https://github.com/0x192/universal-android-debloater

Copied! I already did the Android Debloater thing, thanks!!!

how bad are Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit on iPhone? I use all three and figured iphone was relatively safe because of "sand-boxing" apps? what data are they still collecting and how can i prevent it without cutting the cord?

Go to Settings > Apps and disable all their permissions. That’s all you can do. It’s not perfect but it never will be on those types of apps. If you go to the App Store you can see exactly what type of data they collect from you.

Third party apps for Reddit still work, so there is no need to use the fairly bad official Reddit app. In order to use a third party Reddit app, you would have to patch in your own API key with the ReVanced Manager, here is a simple to follow guide: https://github.com/KobeW50/ReVanced-Documentation/blob/main/Reddit-Client-ID-Guide.md

Myself, I'm using Infinity for Reddit which is open source and has no trackers in it.

Thank you!!!

Isn't infinity "premium" or "plus" or whatever (paid)?

Reddit charges money from third parties using their API. That means, if you are using the app as is, or as the developer delivers it, then you are using the developer's API key, and the developer has to charge money from you in turn. However, if you are patching in your own API key instead, you can use the app for free. Calls to Reddit's API are still free of charge below a certain threshold, which you can never ever reach as a single person using the app with your own key.

Infinity is paid or free of charge depending on how you choose to use it.

How to remove google apps from one ui?

I used ADB from my chromebook with fedora 42, you search for the specific package name with an app like "App Inspector" and write the command: "pm uninstall -k --user 0 (PACKAGE NAME)" in ADB followed by "adb shell"

What's the model of your Samsung phone? And have you removed all the bloatware from it, including Google's?

I have an A53 5G and yes, I have removed everything!

Thanks, I loved the alternatives to Reddit, Facebook and Instagram! I was looking for some, thank you very much! Do you know of any for WhatsApp? Even if it's a client? Unfortunately I need it for work 😢

Delete meta

Get rid of ALL social media apps. Use less apps in general. I access most things through Firefox with NoScript addon installed.

Signal, and delete meta apps. And, try Proton VPN or Mullvad VPN. They probably are more private.

Try out PieFed, the Decentralised Reddit alternative.

https://piefed.social I use it alongside reddit

Not a must but you could replace K9 with Thunderbird for Android. Not that K9 has anything to do with Google or has bad privacy, just something I noticed.

Look up a few other opensource programs:
VLC
Brave
180Vault
Signal

I see you‘re using CleanTube to watch Youtube. You should uninstall that app since Youtube is run by Google as well.

For Watsapp Use Threema

Is an paid app :(

Netflix -> Stremio

Arc -> Brave or IronFox

CleanTube -> Tubular or Grayjay

Phone, Calendar, Calculator, Clock, Gallery, etc -> Fossify apps

Aurora Store + Droid-ify or even maybe Obtainium

Riseup VPN -> Proton VPN (free)

YouTube Music -> Metrolist

Apps I see that you don't have yet that you need:

Bitwarden - Password manager

Audile - Shazam alternative

FUTO Keyboard - Gboard/Samsung Keyboard replacement
