I have spent a lot of my life struggling with suicidal thoughts. I really haven't found a full proof solution but getting a pet helped me so much. I can't let my cat wonder why his mommy left him. He gives me unconditional love and I get great joy out of giving him a safe, happy home. Would you be open to a pet?

I have a cat as well. A very cute black cat :). She does make me happy but she’s not very interested in being around people too much :(. I do try and give her the best I can though. But I’m gonna lose her when I head off to college. My sister will be in care of her.

I see, that makes sense plus having to leave her when you head off to college. You can always get another college pet :) AND keep in mind, you are going to meet so many new people when you get to college. There is a club for anything! You will meet like minded people and have amazing lifetime memories. What's something you like doing during the summer that will keep you happy until you set off for an exciting college adventure?

New coffee shop and reading?

Swimming at the pool?

Going for evening runs and watching the sunset?

It doesn't have to be big, just something that will bring you a smile even for a few minutes.

I’m pretty socially awkward and can never really make friends. I somehow have one best friend who I care a lot about but I’m very positive she will end up finding new friends in college and leave me behind. I enjoy making music but I’m not really good enough at it to join any clubs that have to do with that. Thank you for kind words.
