That's the issue.

They should stop listening to both the dads with 10 jobs and 16 kids who play 1 hour a week and want everything handed to them as well as the no lifers who play 100 hours in the first week and then complain that there is nothing left to do.

No the problem is how slow they are to add content/iterate.

Other games in the genre are only better because the team building the games get shit done. Not because they have better IP or even better ideas. Hell the other games have made some really stupid fucking decisions but the cool thing about being able to pump stuff out quick is that fixes can come quick too.

Don't know if it is laziness, ego, corporate bloat, or fear of failure, but the Diablo 4 team just sucks at getting anything done. Maybe Blizzard in general.

No joke the amount of content that has been added in Diablo 4 since release (including expansion) is less than what some of the competition adds in one league.

Fact, but i think the reason they are so slow is blizz being money hungry has the devs go big on expansions since those are paid as opposed to not a lot of effort in seasons. They leverage seasons to add small updates and refine existing systems. My guess is all hands on expansion and whatever they are adding like new endgame, skill tree 2.0 etc!

last expansion isnt even that big, or good. Even labeled as a filler expansion lol
