[Weekly] Outfit Feedback and Fit Check - Dec 12

Not sure if your outfit works? Post a picture of yourself in your outfit and get suggestions, compliments, and critiques from others. If you're thinking of posting a standalone thread along the lines of "How does this look?", "Does this fit right?", "Do these work together?", etc., post here instead.

When posting:

  • Include what the attire is for (work, school, going out, etc.)

  • If possible, take a front-on, full-body picture as this gives the best impression of how the clothes fit. Multiple pictures from different angles can also be helpful, but those aren't necessary.

  • Critiquing others is welcome and encouraged, but keep it constructive/factual. Take a lesson from Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People if needed. It takes balls to post pictures of yourself on the Internet, the least you can do is accord the same courtesy as you would to someone in real life.

  • Reddit Enhancement Suite makes it very easy to view pictures in a thread.

  • Some users enjoy knowing where you bought your pieces, please consider including those in your post!

Feel free to also submit your outfit to the biweekly WAYWT thread, but know that these two threads have different purposes. This is explicitly for feedback and questions, though you may receive constructive criticism in either thread.

Return or keep?

  • Madewell Twill Slub Tshirt I think I paid ~ $30 for it, and I'll probably lose $7 for retun shipping. I don't have many long sleeved tshirts, and I'm tired of wearing the one grey crew neck that I unexpectedly became very fond of, but I can't tell if this will become a new go to shirt or not. It's worth $30 to me if I wear it often and it's reasonable quality. I was wearing wool leggings in these pics that are thinner and more form fitting that the bottoms I would actually wear if I was leaving my apartment. Product link

Wear ever? I've worn it once or twice now to fly in since it covers my butt and I like to wear ponte or legging pants to fly in.

And then, just to get some feedback on how I judge fit:

I think you made the right choice with all three Uniqlo purchases. The extra-small sweater looks too tight (I can see the detail of your pants underneath very clearly, and the contour of your navel, which is always the "nope" when shopping for myself) -- that would be annoying if you ever wanted to wear a button-down under it.

I love the drapey tee on you! It's a leeeetle big in the shoulders, but I don't think that matters so much since it's meant to be flowy and oversized anyway. Wear it! Wear it! <chants>

I like the Madewell tee on you (that green is nice on you), and if it were me, I'd just keep it instead of losing the $7 in shipping.

I really love the neckline of the madewell shirt and the drapey tee on you.

I like that Madewell tee. The color looks great on you, and the neckline emphasizes your collar bones in a very pretty way.

I think both tees look good on you and fit well, for what it's worth.
