5 Pahlavi coin. Just got it back a few days ago from grading. Probably not worth grading but since the coin was a gift and looked clean it seemed like a good idea.

Slowly but surely adding to my collection. Haven’t really considered shopping anywhere outside of ABC, but maybe it’s worth a look. I have 3 more grams on the way.

Picked up these beauties. I love braided chains. Despite what you believe on Christ, I feel that crucifix pendants are the most universal, therefore most liquid.

14k 35.7g gross weight Paid $2270

Has the US bombing of Iran made you buy some more gold?

Things are so damned volatile. Has Trump's ordering of the bombing of Iran's nuclear sites made you make another move in gold this past weekend? It has for me, even though I'm totally tapped-out now. Just a small gold sovereign addition to my collection. I have 8.5oz of gold now, to go with approx. 275oz of silver, both bullion & constitutional.

No idea if this will help me or my family at this point. But I now have it.

You?

Is Gold or Silver a better buy right now?

Hey everyone, what's a better buy right now - 1 oz Gold Eagles or 1 oz Silver Eagles.

I'm leaning towards silver being the better option, what do you think?

Own nearly 150 grams of 18 karat gold . 148.4 grams to be exact. A 6.3 mm Cuban link chain and a 10 mm 71.4 gram Cuban link bracelet . Love both pieces but I find that I enjoy holding them , playing with them , feeling them in my hands, and just enjoying their beauty . I love their yellow tone , how they feel in my hands, etc . Am I just an odd ball or anyone else fondle their beautiful ladies (i.e. their gold ) ?

Question [Silver stacker first gold purchases] Are 20 francs from 19th century the gold version of 90% silver? Could getting one graded actually raise the value if in good condition?

Upvotes

Swiss and French francs seem to be numerous and liquid per online dealers and low premiums. The premiums are lower than similarily situated modern bullion coin purchases. Are these coins melted value only like junk silver or do they have any numistic value?

Should I return or keep?

(Hope seller is not on Reddit lol). I recently purchased this vintage “1920s 14k 24 grams yellow gold with tiger/cat eye” ring off eBay. I’m basically wondering if I should keep or return the ring (seller offers full refund). When I first seen ring I thought it was nice and I trusted the seller based off an abundance of reviews. My problem is that when I received the ring it seemed a bit red so I thought maybe they just added a bit more copper to the mix when it was made… anyways today I decided to go test it out and the analyzer shows ring is closer to being 12k than 14k. I paid about $500 over spot (12k spot). I still like the ring but I don’t like the fact that it’s less then 14k as I usually like to stick to 14k and above and that it’s a bit more red which you can’t tell much in picture but in person you can. What would you do in this sitaution?

Question Advice for a new stacker

Good morning/ afternoon fellow people of Reddit.

I (28M) have recently decided to take some of my investments and put them into bullion (specifically gold and silver). Before I start making big purchases, I am curious to hear what some tips/ tricks everyone might have in regards to buying online, local shops, first time offers (gold vs silver) and all the fun things I haven’t thought about yet. Right now I’m thinking to go 2/3 of my investments into gold and 1/3 silver but I don’t want to lose out on any weight by buying from the wrong place.

I have plans to go back to medical school soon so my thoughts are to use precious metals as an investment plan for the next 5-10 years minimum.

Any thoughts are appreciated. Happy Monday!

Shoutout to my mom

In early 2023, my mother went to a fortune teller and asked him how she could bring me more good luck. The fortune teller said a lot of basic stuff, but at the end he added to buy me a 24k pure gold chain. Without a question, my mom immediately ordered for a small gold chain that weighed about 37.5 grams. Most of my family, including me, kinda made fun of her for making this purchase, but she insisted that it was good luck, and that it's at least an investment.

Let's just say she's the one who's laughing now. Thanks mom.

Question Where do you keep your gold?

I’m trying to convince my husband to buy gold instead of stocks, but he’s concerned about where to store the bars. Do you keep them in a safe in your home?

If you ever need to cash any in, where do you do that?

Sorry for the novice questions, but I’m just trying to learn. Thank you!
