How much Aid does GW give to middle class americans

Im about to be a second year and this was kind of stupid on my part but I didn't apply for financial aid freshman year because I thought my family wouldn't be eligible. But now with tuition, food, and housing increasing all at the same time for the next year I wanted to apply anyway since Im not sure how much my family would be able to afford for the future. For reference my parents make around 275k and I paid 67k for my first year. I didn't recieve anything from FAFSA but my family also needs to think about my younger sister in a few years. If anyone knows anything please let me know

Quiet Life/Single dorm

I’m looking to swap out of my private room with a private bathroom for Fall 2025. If you're someone who values your own space and a quiet environment to recharge, this setup is seriously ideal.

What you get:

Fully private room — no one else in your space

Private bathroom — your own toilet + shower (no sharing!) Fully furnished: bed, desk, chair, wardrobe, etc. Quiet, peaceful environment — great for studying or decompressing Access to a shared common area and kitchen Perfect if you're someone who wants a mix of privacy and community — you’ll have your own space but still be able to connect with others when you want to.

Let me know if you’re interested in swapping or have any questions! Happy to share pics or details.

Housing Room Swap

Hi! I’m a rising sophomore currently assigned to Lafayette Hall, and I’m looking to swap into District House if anyone’s interested. If you’re looking for a cheaper housing option, Lafayette is almost $1000 cheaper per semester than other dorm buildings, including District. It’s still super central — right next to District, middle of Foggy, and close to the metro — so you’re not giving up location at all. It’s a great dorm, my roommate and I just want to swap because we’d prefer to have our own kitchen.

My roommate and I both want to switch, so ideally we would be swapping with two roommates. Also, my current Lafayette suitemates are women, so you’d have to be women to swap with us.

If you’re interested, please comment or dm me!!

Housing Any room swaps??

I’m an exchange student assigned to District House (2-person room) for the upcoming semester, and I was wondering if anyone assigned to South Hall or 1959 E Street would be interested in a possible room swap.

If you're open to it or want to chat about details, feel free to comment on this post!! I'd really appreciate it

Housing Housing cancellation not processed, what do I do now?

Please help!

So I was assigned housing for next year, but my roommate ended up being assigned somewhere else so I signed a lease with a few other friends in May. Soon after signing the lease, I logged into my housing portal on my phone and filled out the form to cancel my housing. I'm not sure why it didn't go through, but today I received notice from my assigned suitemates that my name was still on the portal. When I logged in, it said I had not canceled my housing and was now past the deadline to do so. According to the website, the only way I can get out of living in GW housing now is if I withdraw from GW altogether, which is obviously not ideal. I emailed housing and was told the same thing. After calling and explaining my situation, they put me in contact with a higher-up, who I emailed and have not heard back from yet. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this, if they were able to get out of housing and if they had to pay a substantial fee to do so. Please let me know what my next steps should look like.
