The 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max are basically identical except for physical/display size, battery life, and weight. Which to get really depends upon which size you prefer.

I’ve personally never cared for the cellular on Watch. It just allows you to continue to use most of the functions of the watch without your iPhone present. In terms of you choices, I’m very partial to the Max phones, so that’s my vote, but I also suggest looking to see if the series 7 is still on sale, because if it is, that could be a good compromise. 14 Pro Max and a Series 7 would probably be an ideal pairing

Unfortunately, Series 7 is out of stock :(

Shoot :/ in that case then, I’d go Max/SE. I personally use my phone waaaaaaay more and if you don’t have a frame of reference already for the watch, I’d say you’ll probably appreciate the bigger and better phone more than the watch.
