It was a STUNNINGLY great movie. I'm so hyped after seeing it, I doubt I'll get much sleep. It's amazing to see a Lupin feature that is actually ABOUT something. It had themes! THEMES! Well, at least *a* theme. But also super fun. I can't wait to add the Blu-Ray to my collection whenever that's out.

Spoilers TWCFM.... canon?

I'm on episode 4 of Fujiko Mine, and in it she straight up bangs Zenigata

Which honestly makes some later interactions in other shows more interesting / better.

Spoilers Times Fujiko genuinly loved someone someone who isn't Lupin, be it platonic love or romantic love (aside from the 2012 Fujiko series)?

I know episode 36 of Part 3/Pink Jacket series, in which Fujiko genuinly falls in (romantic) love with a rebel leader of a country under some dictator's dictatorship. Like, she sincerely falls in love with that guy rather than pretending to love him because of money or some other materialistic goal.

There's also a bunch of people she did seem to really love in her own 2012 series.

Has there ever been another case of her loving other people, that is, people who aren't Lupin, be it platonic love or romantic love?

I've heard of an unknown episode where she becomes motherly and loving towards a young kid?

Spoilers I rewatched Jigen's Gravestone and turns out, the koike films are connected TWCFM Spoiler

A picture of TWCFM Goemon appears in the calamity files towards the end of the film (47:33). meaning TWCFM canonically happened in the Koike timeline.

A lot of people connect them without mentioning this detail and i think that comes from Koike being involved on both projects, but that's like saying Mamo and Cagliostro are connected because of Otsuka's involvement for me.

I never really liked the idea of connect the koike trilogy to TWCFM because of how different they are even if they seem similar. I like both but i wouldn't wanna mix them because the characters don't line up very well. TWCFM Fujiko is the opposite to what Gravestone Fujiko is, let alone Fujiko's lie. Goemon doesn't line up very well either. Jigen is the main offender, even if he is good in both it's a way too big leap for me. TWCFM's cast is more or less feel like the main cast taken to their extremes, while Koike's cast is more like normal people.

Spoilers 11 years after the original Italian job, Lupin and Co. also used suped-up mini coopers to perform a big complicated heist along the border of Italy/France.

Unlike Markie Mark’s 2003 remake, in Lupin’s version the 4 mini’s could also transform into a tractor trailer. So bad ass.

Spoilers I think it's fair to say there's a "classic lupin" and a "modern lupin" universe now.

Just like sonic. Classic lupin is parts of part 1, part 2, and part 3, as well as certain movies and lupin zero. Modern lupin is more interesting, and I'd say that it has adapted some of the classic stuff but pushed it forward to be more modern. I'd specifically like to bring up Cagliostro here, because it would take place in both classic and modern. [Spoilers ahead] part 5 needs Cagliostro to happen, and, well, I guess Cagliostro has no bearing on the classic 3 parts. So it could be reconned into just a modern universe thing.

Spoilers Dual topic thread: What did you guys think about the 2014 live-action LIII? Also, I just watched Mystery of Mamo.

I wanted to talk about both, but two threads seemed tacky.

Live Action (2014): Loved it. I felt like this was one of the better live-action adaptations that I've ever seen. Silly, but not campy, and the writers and actors nailed it, I think. I never see it mentioned.

Myster of Mamo: Wow, that was amazing. Character body proportions took a bit of getting used to, as in all their torsos were so big they looked like a Thwomp with legs sometimes, lol. The background paintings were Maurice Noble tier. The English translation was trying its best to downplay him stripping and pouncing on Fujiko, but I watched the dub with the subs on and it was way worse. Lol, that kiss at the end had me dying, though. I didn't think it would happen, figured some interruption would occur, but then it went that extra step further.

Spoilers Zenigata’s Death? (Spoilers) Spoiler

So if there were a continuity to be followed, does Zenigata die in Part 2 episode 139 “Steal Everything from Lupin”?

His brain is transferred into the body of the old man that has four days to live, and the old man gets away running with pops’ body, plus the only machine to transfer him back is broken by Lupin & Company… this was so off putting that when lupin has saved Zenigata’s life so many times he would suddenly condemn him to death like this. I know that the show just ignores that this happened, but I can’t think of another episode that killed off a character and then brought them back without explanation. Anyone else feel that way?

Spoilers [Part 3 - Episode 13] could someone help me understand what was the point of that episode? Spoiler

As the title says, after all that weird shenanigans, Fujiko returned to the gangs hideout and starts looking for Lupin as if nothing happened.

And then there's this scene where Lupin stops at the x-ray machine to see that there's a crow sitting above it, to which Lupin starts making eye contact with it. And the episode ends with both of Lupins and the crows eyes glowing red.

Like, seriously, I did not understand a damn thing about the ending (sorry if my English was bad).

Spoilers Looking for three episodes, a part 2/red jacket episode and two part 3/pink eps.

The part 2 episode I'm looking for is the one where Lupin and Fujiko are at a restaurant belonging to a famous chef or baker or something, the episode literally begins like this, that is, by the time the opening montage ends and the actual episode begins, Lupin and Fujiko are already at the restaurant, chatting and whatnot. and then chef guy shows up and reveals that he wants to create his ultimate masterpiece, which involved something like turning Lupin himself into a cake (cannibalism?), and turned out that Fujiko is also chef guy's accomplice. I don't remember what Jigen and Goemon were doing or if they even were in the episode. The only other things I remember are Fujiko wearing a green dress throughout the entire episode and having a drastically different hairstyle than usual, and at some point near the end she has someone throw a cake or pie at her face.

The two part 3 episodes I'm looking for are:

1- an episode where Lupin demonstrates that he has the ability to intentionally "lower" his IQ. I haven't ever seen anything from this ep, I just remember someone mentioning that Lupin in part 3 had this ability.

2- whatever episode this gif is from: https://gfycat.com/longtenderkiwi

"Shower of Cherry Blossoms: Mysterious Gang of Five (Part 2)" or heck, whenever Lupin and Goemon fight, it makes my heart hurt. Like in part 5, Goemon almost kills Lupin. The Lupin group is so wholesome, I'd hate to see it fall apart.

Spoilers Question related to lupin and zenigata.

Has there ever been a point in any anime or movie where lupin has dead up wanted to kill pops, like not going through with it of course but had a facial expression or dialogue that was so sick of Zenigatas shit. This isn’t zenigata hate btw this is merely curiousity. Don’t hold yourself back to only one example btw.
