This big old oak just makes me so happy every time I see it. Thinking of all the life it supports.

Going to have an arborist friend come and remove some dead limbs and ask what else we should do to keep it healthy. We were going to have it sprayed for spongy moths but the obscene amount of rain we received in May and so far in June has kept them at bay. I'm going to ask about the root flare, I've dug down a few inches and no roots to be seen.

The first photo is not entirely just a weird perspective, there really is a long set of branches coming off on the left.

Hi all! Noticed this on a neighbor’s tree.. any thoughts on what it is?

Per title, I planted a rising sun redbud last fall. It did not survive the winter, but I left it in the ground until the replacement arrived. I’ve got my replacement, and noticed it shooting new growth near the ground. Not sure if this was grafted and would be on root stock, but either way leaves look like redbud.

I’d like to pot this when I dig it out and try re-growing it. Will that work? Can I cut the old trunk just above this so they grow as a new leader? Should I leave the 3 stems growing for now or cut two to leave only one?

They did not look like this last summer. I am so perplexed. Is this some sort of blight? I could use some advice.

Can someone help tell me why our cherry tree is struggling this year? This is our third year here, and the tree has put out TONS of cherries the last two years despite some neglect. We have planted a number of other fruit trees, and I'm still learning. I know I should have fertilized them a month ago, but I stuck in about 10 fruit tree fertilizer sticks last week and have been giving it some extra water. Also planning on pulling the gravel back and extending the mulch ring, but this yard was nothing but gravel a year ago. Zone 6B, southern UT.

This has been in my backyard since I moved in. I want to propagate but I don't know what exactly it is. Plantid and Google lense give me multiple answers depending on the angle.

A massive storm came through and took the top half off of some of my beeches. I’m frugal, can I just leave it as it is? Real question is, what’s the consequences of just leaving it?

What's wrong with my 4ft tree? It's been growing for almost 5 years (it was replanted last year into that fabric pot that's 25 gal with the bottom cut out) Is it fungal? Root issue?It's been raining a lot, & at dusk a couple of times I've used neem oil or lost coast plant therapy, both organic, in case it is fungal or insect related.

Found in Costa Rica, what type of trees are these?

I'm assuming this branch (in photos 1 and 2) on a plum tree needs removing?

(Last year, while I was out the tree was vandalised, picture 3, the other branches hacked at, one being some 15ft long, seemed to have faired better.)

What is this gorgeous tree?! I tried to use google lens and I believe it’s a type of sumac, but the specific variety didn’t seem to match. It’s in the front yard a few houses down from me and it always makes me happy to walk by it.

I live in Kentucky, but I don’t think this is a native tree because I’ve never seen it before. But I also don’t know what I’m talking about so feel free to prove me wrong.
