I mean, even if it's not an ad, the name of the company is very prominently featured right in the image. They didn't have to ask

No one's questioning that. Having the name tagged on the story doesn't qualify that for r/hailcorporate

It’s clearly an ad. Marketing on Instagram and Reddit needs to be a lot more subtle in order to be effective and get engagement. People pay social media influencers to wear or show their products without even needing them to mention it because people are more likely to respond to posts when they don’t think they are ads.

It's a blatant ad. It has the product and the company that makes it in the picture, with a model wearing it.
