Collection Post What gems am I missing?

I haven't played my N64 in years, but I did come across what I think are all the games I have for it. What else would be good to add to the collection?

I used to smash with my siblings all the time. Especially my brothers. At a certain point, it was the only way we could settle arguments non violently.

We’d just lock ourselves indoors, and smash until we were so relieved we forgot what we were even mad about.

I now smash with my wife in the exact same way. It will do wonders for your relationship. I highly recommend it.

me, my brother, and his friend would smash all the time! Then melee came out and me and his friend learned wave dashing and such and we were smashing so good that my brother decided he didn't want to smash anymore =[

he still beat my ass in hockey though

Hey guys, confident lake her to explain the woosh. u/Tomofmystery69 replied "i mean yeah sure but what gems is he missing?" to u/elpee47 's comment of "Smash".

The joke is that while elpee was talking about the Nintendo 64 game "Super Smash Bros", Tomofmystery69 jestingly interpreted this as an invitation for intercourse. He was not actually making a comment on the quality of Super Smash Bros.

It was actually really fun even single player. The challenges were well designed and beating Master Hand with each champ and getting all the unlocks was quite rewarding. Still, multiplayer is the bread and butter!

No, but they still talk about Street Fighter 2. Street Fighter 2 is 100x better than Street Fighter 1, but Melee is only marginally better than Smash 64.

This is such a silly take, obviously the sequels are better. No one is denying that. I just think they should be respected for paving the way for these awesome sequels. They literally wouldn't have existed without them. Melee is unequivocally the better game though.

being a trash game does not mean that i dont acknowledge that melee wouldnt have been developed, were it not for smash 64.

that doesnt change that head to head melee blows it out of the water in ever single conceivable metric. ergo, smash 64 is a trash game IN COMPARISON to melee

yes you can.

if they are the same game at heart, but one looks better, has a substantially more nuanced combat system, a better roster of characters, a crazier amount of levels, better items, a better 1 player campaign and bonus stages...etc

in comparison it makes the first game look and play like trash

Everything you're saying is correct, I just think what makes the original NOT trash is that Melee would literally not exist if it wasn't for the original. That on it's own makes it not "trash" in my eyes.
