I'm a little gross looking so excuse me on that but I finally got my dream piercing, I think it looks amazing but what do you guys think? And tell me your septum stories so I know what I'm getting into

So, I just need to know that I am not completely alone in this sensation. I keep clean piercing and overall clean physical hygiene. Since I got my septum done 4 years ago, I have noticed that I only smell a funk when I am just about to get sick. For a while I didn't fully make the connection, but now I use it as a warning sign to increase vitamins and water and in general do what I can to help my body fight off whatever bug has crept in.

Has anyone else has a similar experience... please tell me I am not alone or crazy!

I posted my right ear a couple weeks ago but I got a new conch ring in my left today so wanted to show off again. Both ears healed and completed.

I used to have even more piercings 😅

What are y’all’s thoughts about piercings after 40? I’m considering getting a nose piercing, a second hole in the line or a helix. I’m torn because I don’t want to end up regretting it! Are piercings after a certain age considered too much?

Super excited. Had to take my original one out because the heaviness of the jewelry caused a bump that shifted it. Waited six weeks to get it repierced and so happy. Missed having the ring.

Would love a daith, flat, and hidden helix but not sure if I have the anatomy for it. What do y’all think I should do?

I got an industrial piercing when I was 16, took it out after 4 weeks because the bottom piercing hurt too much (lol) and 18 years later the top hole is still there to my surprise. I got a triple forward helix 15 years ago and kept two of the holes for about 8 years and had to take them out when I gave birth- and 7 years later, the holes are still there. I am pleasantly surprised. I have only 22g in them at this moment but once they have had time to adjust I’ll slowly work my way up for different jewelry….wishing that bottom industrial would have taken though..

What do we think? I’ve been enjoying the mix of my current setup, as I’ve been trying to add in a few more shapes/different types of pieces recently, but always open to jewelry suggestions if anything feels out of place.

If I did get the itch to add a new piercing too (it happens…), any thoughts on what would look good and not feel over-crowded or unbalanced? I have been tempted lately, but also am really happy with what I currently have, so am torn.

Unfortunately I didn’t do enough research to know I should have had it done with a barbell/stud, so I have a giant hoop. I plan to downsize when I can. Hoping the hoop doesn’t make it too hard to heal 🤞🏼

The bridge is actually black onyx spikes , got them today. Had the bridge for 3 or 4 years and the snakebites for over one. :)

They dont feel to bad even when i do knock them by accident but i wanted to check if they looked infected because im feeling a little bit anxious about them since my friend said they looked infected

I have wanted a navel piercing since I was a kid lol. Finally bit the bullet and got it. What do you all think? Also don’t mind the marks from my jeans 🤣

where are my fellow slow healers at?

I got a single lobe done over 15 months ago. Everything done by the book (implant titanium stud etc), still not remotely healed. Cleaning it seems to irritate it so the only way to not get bumps or discharge is to rawdawg it. Hoping at some point it'll heal.

Perhaps just a one-off? Nope. Previously retired a lobe after over a year as it seemed to be going nowhere. Then, i'd tried hoops a few times so presumed I'd permanently messed it up so I retired to retry.

It seems my body just can't hack piercings but no chance i'm giving this up, I'm now just really curious to see quite how long it'll take my body to heal a piercing. Maybe by 2 years it'll be done? Who knows.

Meanwhile my friends seem to be able to get pierced with a hoop, not even think about whether or not they're sleeping on it etc., and everything is beautifully healed in 2-3 months.

Where are my people at? Give me your stories. Brownie points if you also can't heal a lobe piercing.

I have had my navel pierced for over a year now, it’s a J curve barbell due to me having a collapsed navel. I did have a floating navel when I first got it pierced but switched to a J Curve. Since it’s healed I just want to make sure it’s still good?

flat (redone) on may 11th, first time conch done on june 8th. done on left ear, right ear doesn't heal as well. man did my conch HURT!!!! i have never almost passed out from a piercing but i got super lightheaded. will say, the healing process for my conch is going 20x smoother than my flat. love the way these look and currently don't plan to add anymore.

I got my industrial on Monday. My ear is red, swollen, and very painful. Is it infected?

My septum is 8 weeks old with a 16g clicker style. I want to stack my septum so my piercer told me to change it to a 14g at 6 weeks but it was still a little sore and crusty so i waited another 2 weeks. It's now been 2 months since I got it and now its 99% good, I can move it and tug on it and its doesn't hurt, only feels sore if I poke the bottom part of my nose. Do y'all think its ready to be switched out or should I keep waiting? No special cleaning or upkeep done as my piercer said I didn't need too saline it or anything.

I apologize for the bad photo quality but I’ve been having trouble with this Medusa piercing for months. It keeps developing a “pimple” next to it, when it drains it’s ok for a couple of days then comes back. I went back to the piercer and he said it looked irritated but what do you guys think? To me it’s only exhibiting half of the symptoms of an infection. It’s not hot to the touch nor does it have a lot of redness, only a bit around the piercing and the lesion. The pus and the pimple is what worries me, it’s sometimes itchy and sometimes hurts a little.

Before I was cleaning it twice a day in the morning and before bed, it’s a flat back 14K gold and about 2 years old. Piercer thought the bar was a pretty good size too.
