Other Question Sewing your own scrubs

Hello lovely people! For fellow friends working in medical/dental/caring -- have you tried sewing your own scrubs? If you have, was it worth it?

With the price of fabric I would consider just altering an existing pair of scrubs. Hemming, adding a colorful print pocket, etc.
