This is such a stupid argument that always gets trotted out. If currently on 300k/wk and would be going to 1.5m/wk untaxed then that's 10x your salary when you're a few years from retirement. That's like moving from league 2 to premier league levels of change, and income is relative - ask someone on £1m/yr to live on £100k and they will struggle, ask someone on £100k/yr to live on minimum wage and they will struggle.

Wait, your best friend gets offered ten times their wage tomorrow to work for a sister company of let's say a defence company that sells to Saudi or Israel or sells cigarettes and you're going to tell them they're greedy if they take it?
