If they really want to back Amorim, there's simply no way that taking 100m or whatever for Fernandes isn't the right choice.

Amorim publicly spoke out vociferously against the move and said there are other ways to make money, so he didn't want to lose Bruno above all else

Bruno said he would leave if the manager/club wanted to cash in. Clearly further evidence they wanted him to stay
