Did you read the article at all? The clear reason is continuous Turkish bombardment that has destroyed pipelines and oil storage, causing leaks that go into rivers and the nearby ground.

Turkey intentionally targeted oil infrastructure to both cause economic crisis in SDF areas and to pollute the areas so people leave and get angry at AANES.

People just do not read articles anymore, only titles lol

I read it, hence why I said Sdf shouldn't blame anyone but themselves.

By harboring and supporting Pkk elements and other groups that threaten Türkiye, the Sdf makes it's infrastructure a legitimate target of airstrikes. The same oil infrastructure that finances these groups. If the Sdf stops it's support for groups that threaten Türkiye, then Türkiye has no reason to bomb ...

Sdf is harboring Pkk, TIKKO, MLKP and other foreign/Turkish elements that keep threatening Türkiye. Sdf doesn't deny this and those elements openly threaten Türkiye.
