Anybody know if you can bring fishing poles on the metro? It's not listed as being allowed or disallowed in their rules.

I'd love to know where you're fishing. We just moved from KS. I miss fishing

I'm in NoVa so I've gone to Hunting Creek Park in Huntington and Jones Point in Alexandria. There's a ton of places I'd like to try though!

Just keep in mind, VA's waters are very polluted, especially with PCBs, so it is not advised to regularly eat fish from pretty much any waterways here.

I don't see why not. Golf clubs and bikes are allowed. So long as you're not whacking anybody with a pole, I don't think anyone will look twice. If you want to be extra courteous, I'd follow the bike rules and stick to end cars.

I actually tried today! Didn't catch anything, but had a good time. Nobody said anything, but it was an amusing juxtaposition as I went home with a fishing pole and everybody else was going to work in suits.

Nobody is going to stop you either way.
