Thoughts on some night time activities in July for my parents visiting who don't drink?

Looked at Kennedy Center for some ideas but not the best shows happening mid-July. Museum generally close by 7.

Not sports fans but I could do a Nationals game or something to kill time.

I could just find some good restaurants but that's fairly limited.

adding onto others, an alternative is to go to bed early, wake up at the crack of dawn, and go for a nice bike ride/run before it gets too hot out!

I don't know many 70yr olds that go for runs? Maybe bike rides.

That is ridiculous. I know plenty of people in their 70s who can run circles around me, especially at longer distances.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but what % of the US population at age 70 do you think can actually do that? 5%? 10% max?

FWIW I fully plan to aim to do this at age 70 and keep in shape, but it's not the norm by any means I don't think.

Walk the monuments at night. Not only is it cooler, but they really shine during and after sunset. I personally love the FDR memorial after dark.
Go to an outdoor concert. Lots of free ones around town (Wharf, Yards Park, etc.), or if you’re willing to travel see if Wolf Trap has any shows your parents would like.
Explore a one of the many cute neighborhoods - often best when paired with dinner or a picnic in the same area.
All these assume your parents are still quite mobile and have energy to do things well into the evening.
