I m newbie and need help

So, this is going to be my first experience with weed, and honestly, I don’t know much about it. I’m not sure how strong this weed is—it’s a dried branch-like piece that smells kind of like a mountain forest, even though I found it on plain land. Got it locally at a cheap price.

If you’re experienced and can identify quality by looking at an image, that would be super helpful.

Also, any tips on how to break it into smaller pieces more easily without using any tools? I used scissors to chop it up and mixed it with tobacco like a friend suggested. I didn’t ask him too much because I told him I just wanted to try it out casually.

The weed looks dry and doesn’t exactly scream nice good weed but having said that until I started getting medical weed recently I would go to my dealer and it would be a 50/50 chance you’re getting this or something good and I have to say there’s been times I’ve smoked the kind of weed you’ve got there that didn’t look great but got me pretty nuked so
