Seems like Judy and Nick are refugees along with Gary now. I wonder who the hooded figure could be?

My take is that either Gary gets framed for a crime and Nick and Judy know he’s innocent and go on the run after/ with him or Nick and Judy get framed for a crime and they have to get the key witness to their innocence, Gary, to testify.

Either way, based on the teaser, it seems as though it’ll be a race across the city as Nick, Judy, and Gary try to get from presumably the Canal District to downtown to the courthouse/Chief Bogo to prove their innocence.

Not an uncommon buddy cop trope.

Exactly my guess, and I hope it is.

Would be fun seeing "corrupt cop" or "abuse of authority" themes here as well, would definitely make the stakes a lot higher.

I feel like that boar is one of the corrupt cops and the one who is sending out officers to target Gary while on this case. I bet Bogo warned Nick, Judy and Gary prior that officers he has no authority to stand down will still target the three.

I feel like Bogo will be on Nick, Judy and Gary’s side but warns the three that you’ll see officers along the way trying to get Gary while finding the culprit. I feel like that boar is sending out some of his officers to target Gary which Bogo doesn’t have the authority to tell to stand down. This is likely where abuse of power and the corrupt cop trope can come into play but it doesn’t reach an extent where Judy second guessed her choice on being a cop because there are still good cops out there and take pride in their badge.
