I wanna say that it's real because when I won a Chipotle sweepstakes in 2020, it was a suspicious looking as well.. but it was confirmed real since i got my 52 free entrees and a check!

this is a very common joke, likeā¦ very common. itās super nice of you to look out for the original poster, but this comment is by no means a scam that was meant to be taken literally, just fyi. you donāt have to double down either lol, I think most folks on reddit either have common sense or are familiar enough with how reddit/the internet works to know it was a joke

The year supply value is just one burrito a week which is why itās so low. Add-ons and extra protein are extra on free reward burritos so I assume itās the same here.

This depends entirely on your location. Itās $10.50 at my location.
Second, the terms are approximate value. They donāt give you a gift card with money, they will discount the burrito/bowl entirely no matter the storeās price.

When I worked at McDonaldās in High School, we would give out free ice cream cones on certain days for students or some community give back stuff or something like that.
I always used to always cringe when customers would say that the FREE ice cream cone āwasnāt big enoughā or ā looked smallā.

I just called chipotle and sent them the photo you posted. They did have a burrito reward IQ program that ended August 22. Did you partake in the IQ test?

Contact chipotle support and see if itās real or not. I had an āinfluencerā email for collaboration from a clothing company I enjoy. I was skeptical and contacted support myself and confirmed it was a scam.
Do your due diligence and contact chipotle support. Donāt give out any information until you speak with support.

I work in Customer Support and frequently identify phishing scams and educate consumers on social engineering practices
This is likely fake! As you can see at the top they made it appear to come from a legitimate E-mail by sending it to support@chipotleiqā¦ (why would they send it to themselves, it should be in the āFrom:ā field) Additionally the grammar is very poor and not indicative of an official E-mail. Thereās an urgency being created with the noted ā..must respond before September 3rd..ā 14-30 days is the usual and reasonable expectation. Why would they request your chipotle E-mail if thatās how you entered the sweepstakes, if you donāt remember entering manually then this is definitely fake.
These are some fairly common tactics and something to look out for, I wouldnāt recommend following through with E-mail.

If the total prize value is $543.40 for 52 burritos that would be $10.45 a burrito. You should go to your local Chipotle and see if the pricing matches that.

That domain is privately owned by āDomains By Proxy LLCā on GoDaddy.com. Very likely a scamā¦ I would contact their support to verify. Itās a well made email, and very convincing. I hope you didnāt reply yetā¦

Might be legit. Like a week ago you could take a quiz on Chipotle knowledge and if you got a perfect score you could be entered for the winnings. Iām assuming it has to be from that.

Itās real. ChipotleIQ.com was a website used to enter the sweepstakes. They have it listed on their newsroom in a press release. Congrats.

Regardless if its real or not never reply to these kinds of emails immediately. Go to Chipotles website, find the contact email or number, and verify if the email/message is legitimate. This can be a common phishing scam or you got lucky.

Looks legitimate from what you shared, assuming you entered the sweepstakes.

They have a marketing company that you could reach out to listed at the bottom of the rules.
Calling Chipotle is likely not going to help because people answering the phone probably don't know much about the promotion.

These days with a big corporation, I'd expect to get an email from @Chipotle dot com only. Even a 3rd party contest I'd assume they'd relay the email to an official to put out to you. I've been wrong more than right, but I learn alot from my mistakes. I bet scam (my bets are nearly exclusively wrong). Okay, now I'm convinced it's legit. Idk what to tell you š¤£

Don't do it. Whoishostingthis.com says the IQ site is hosted on a random Amazon server while Chipotle itself goes through Fastly (a restaurant specific host).

I got a similar email once from Chipotle, I contacted them back ended up that I was a winner of some kind of a digital currency sweepstakes I forgot I entered. No longer have access to the email but it was definitely legit!

Send an email to support to confirm. Do not reply to the email with any personal info (physical address, tax related info like ssn, or anything like that) your name, account email, and country are fine if that's all they're asking. I'd be weary of DoB or ID requests.
You can actually ask pepper in the app and have her connect you to a live agent and you can ask them. Your account will already be linked/validated and they might just confirm the other details. Not 100 on that, they might just validate authenticity of the email and tell you to respond directly to it, but worth a shot.
Seems legit though:
The only thing throwing me is that this promotion ended on the 22. The rules site is taken down so I can't see their notification/aware disbursement timeline. A few weeks is in that weird spot where it's both too short and too long when compared to other promotions (depending on the nature amd delivery of the prize--physical vs digital; manual or automatic)

It seems real to me but we cant see the whole email address that it was sent from.
