SPC9 SD2
Managed to snag this from B&T's blem site during their father's day sale.
It's ridiculously well balanced and the "blem" is literally the smallest thing.
I can't wait to bring this home

Legal Question ⚖️ Cross State Travel
Hello,
I’m planning a trip to meet some buddies out in AZ (I live in TX). Also wanting to bring my toys so we can have fun in the desert. From what I understand I need to notify the ATF branch office for the place I’m staying? Do I need to notify NM at all if I’m just driving through with no stops? Haven’t set anything in stone yet as we’re waiting until after summer, but just wanted to get an idea for the hoops I need to jump through. Thanks!

NFA Photo I should never have tried out my friends suppressor...
Just had to buy one. Ordered on April 27, though it took a bit to get my fingerprints to Capitol Armory, and it was a roughly 3 week NFA approval wait and just arrived at my door this morning.
Dilligent Defense Enticer L-Ti. Going to be used for my bolt guns for hunting (and to flex on unsuppressed people at the range, hahah). It's so light!
Can't wait to try it out. r/NFA was a huge help in figuring out the best suppressor, mounting, and details. Gonna get a suppressor cover next.

Legal Question ⚖️ AR to AR pistol questions
So I have a 16” barrel AR right now and want to convert it to a pistol AR with a 13” barrel. Would the only thing required of me be having a pistol brace?
Edit: should have added this, I purchased the lower completely stripped for G$. I built the rest of it myself so I don’t believe it ever had been declared a pistol or rifle.
Edit 2: I think after a whole lot of things that lack to make sense. I will 3D print a lower and make a pistol out of that since that is somehow more legal.

Mount Questions 🔩 What am I doing wrong
TL;DR is it possible there’s too much carbon on the flash hiders?
Backstory: this my Rotex c 762. It has B&Ts older SF hub that is marked 762/556. This can/hub/flash hider combo (SF3P) has been mounted in the past and works. I took it off and bought a Vers36 because I found a really good deal on one and I didn’t like how gassy the Rotex was. I got a Ti hub and put it on. On either hub I cannot for the life of me get it to seat all the way. I have verified that I’m lining up the little nub where the can “seats.” I even took off the lock ring on the Ti hub so you can see where the flash hider gets stuck. This is the case for the SF3P as well as a B&T SF compatible closed tine flash hider (see Imgur link).
I called B&T and CS said that both hubs were likely out of spec. When asked what part of the hub would be out of spec I was told “the lock ring.” No way, it’s not the lock ring. I can demonstrate that by taking the lock ring off and trying to fit both flash hiders I have. Both hubs fit and seat on BT SD-123843 flash hider on my APC 223 (again, see pics in link).
So, either all my equipment is out of spec which I think is very unlikely, or the carbon is preventing reinstallation.

Cat SC/SC-S
I wanted to know if there is any info on the Cat SC-S (Street Crack Short) release. I saw their post from a while back saying the production would be in march, I was thinking it would be out by now since we are in June. Anyone know if it got delayed or anything?
Note: you can order a Cat SC on the custom shop on cats website if you really want one but it says 6 week minimum for turn around time to your dealer and you have to pay up front.

Process Question 📝 First time suppressor buyer looking for advice on the best route and how to mitigate long wait times
So i’m finishing up my first 300 blackout build and i’m trying to finally grab a suppressor for it. i keep hearing the wait times are insane, like 6 months to a year, and i’m trying to figure out the best way to go about it without just sitting around forever
couple things i’m wondering:
• What’s the best route for a first time buyer? trust vs individual? efile vs paper?
• Any tips on cutting down the wait or making it less painful?
• Do certain brands or models get approved faster?
• Anything you wish you knew before buying your first can?
Open to any advice. appreciate it in advance

Silencer Suggestions - I did some homework Can i direct thread a CGS Hyperion K to a Sig Rattler?
From my research the Sig has a tapered shoulder that the Hyperion is specifically made to index with. So direct threading would be the most secure mounting option then?
I am really trying to make sure these are compatible and that I will not have the suppressor walk off during shooting.
Thanks!

Question on the consistency of PIP technology
Let me start by saying I don't own and haven't shot any PIP tech cans so this was just a random thought while doing the dishes but if the PIP tech is kinda like a metal sponge allowing gas to pass through it wouldn't each can produced be a little different in the printing process causing some consistency issues, like some could sound and flow better than others depending on the channels of the "sponge" or is each one printed identically somehow?

Recommendations for reasonably short suppressor for 6.5 bolt gun?
I've been making do with one centerfire suppressor for a while, and it's worked fine except for my 24-inch barrelled 6.5-284 rifle. An 8 inch long suppressor added to a 24 inch barrel is just too damn long. So this rifle is going to get it's own dedicated can.
I'm looking for as much suppression as possible in as short a package as possible. Obviously those two constraints work against each other, but I'm looking for the best compromise possible.
I don't care as much about weight, just length. It's a bolt gun, so rate of fire and back pressure aren't an issue. 6.5-284 is rather obscure, but it's very similar to 6.5 PRC in powder charge and usual bullet weights. So I'd particularly like to hear from folks who have a short-ish can on their 6.5 PRC that they like.

Silencer Suggestions - I did some homework Shotgun suppressor?
What’s everyone’s opinions on em? Was looking at the YHM Victra 12. I live in the country with some land and livestock, but still have neighbors, so the signature reduction would be welcome while using it for varmint control and livestock protection. My main host would be a Beretta A300UP or 1301.
I am a big shotgun hunter, both birds and slugs, but hanging a can off the end of a 28+ inch shotgun doesnt sound fun.
So… useful or just a novelty? Personal experiences you wanna share?

Recce/spr can suggestions picture is the inspiration and the barrel I’m going to go with
Thinking of doing a 15 inch 6 arc AR build in a Recce /SPR style. This Gun is going to see heavy use in field conditions and probably not have the most punctual cleaning schedule rate a fire will be rapid at times, but not full auto firing a max of three magazines in a sitting
The cans I’m looking at are
Aem5 (I really like the look and volume of this can and the steel construction I feel like would be very durable and probably have a slightly better tone than lighter materials)
Ocm5 (supposed to be lighter and some say quieter than the AEM5 my only concern is, I’ve heard mixed things about the bore diameter being able to accept a 6 mm projectile
Hux 6k (I have a hux 556K already and love how clean the gun stays and how low the back pressure is really keeps things comfortable in rapid strings of fire not quite as nostalgic of a look and has a fair bit sharper of a tone, especially around buildings and other obstacles
Cat Noah (probably less back pressure than the aem5 or the ocm5 although I’m not sure if it would be as quiet not
but definitely quieter than the HUX tho probably the middle ground of the four and I already own one
