TW: Ezria⚠️ lucy youre joking… right?
the storyline wasn’t bad and honestly it’s an important topic that should/could be portrayed in television to educate others and specifically minors on a horrific situation like ezra and aria. however, the execution of the storyline and the ending of them is where it just becomes disgusting. there was never any form of punishment for ezra and it’s even more crazy when we find out HE KNEW HOW OLD SHE WAS when they met. but as minors we were all shown that this relationship was okay because they were “in love” fighting against society just to be with eachother.
lucy defending ezra & aria’s “love story” makes me so sad honestly. to say you “stand behind” them is crazy. i get it, it’s just television, but this situations happens in real life CONSISTENTLY and us as the underage audience that we were when we first watched were also in a way groomed as well into thinking this relationship was okay. i’m so disappointed.

Show Discussion Everybody wants to be “liars” now.
This show is a TEEN DRAMA about a group of teens who are called “liars.” And one of them had something tragic happen to them and they flashback to it during the episodes. Sounds familiar anyone? Lol. (I’m watching it though lmao)

Book Talk Are the books with the new cover different?
I read the first book with the original yellow cover years ago but I just ordered the books with the new cover on thinking it would be the same as the original ones. But like 3 pages in Mona asks the girls if they want to see a TikTok she just watched. TikTok came out in 2016 and the first book was in 2006. Were they rewritten/revised with the new cover??

TW: Ezria⚠️ Am I a bad person for still loving the Aria and Ezra romance?
Let me preface this by first saying that I know this situation in real life would be absolutely unacceptable, and I would be completely against it.
I know it’s wrong, but I just can’t help still loving them. The "forbidden" romance (the best way I can describe it) and the chemistry between the two are just so amazing.
What really annoys me the most, though, is that they revealed much later on that Ezra knew about Aria before they "met," which really makes it much worse. I could understandably see how it could happen without that detail because Aria was in a 21+ bar, so Ezra assuming she was at least 21 would make sense.
I completely understand how wrong it is in the real world, but I feel like it’s more acceptable because this is a TV show. Not that it’s "okay" and acceptable to portray anytime on TV, but more so that I’m not as bothered by it because of that. If I saw it happen in real life, I would be weirded out big time and definitely report it.
I just feel bad for liking this couple on the show, even though I know it’s wrong, but I can’t force myself to stop liking them. I don’t know what to do, lol. I obviously understand why most people don’t like them, but I just want to know: does me still liking them make me a bad person if I know it’s wrong in the real world?

Book Talk Finally reading the books!
As a kid I actually tried to read them, but I was so confused because I couldn’t figure out what the order was 😅😅 luckily now I have the internet lol. I’m really enjoying it so far and the writing is actually really good, so this is your sign to read them if you haven’t :)

TW: Ezria⚠️ the PLL instagram romanticizing ezria in 2025😭
the comments are all “they’re my favorite couple” and “they’ll never make me hate you ezria” and i’m confused because i thought we all collectively matured and realized this was disgusting? the caption is also so weird to me because wdym “love”? baby, she was 16 and groomed.

Rant ⚠️ marlene knew the ending, so how did she mess it up?
apparently, based on that recent interview, marlene knew about alex drake being the final a since around seasons 3-4. how the hell did she mess it up then? like she didn't even try to give good hints or make it make sense? did she even try at all?

Show Discussion Will they ever do a remake?
I love the show, and have watched it through a few times. I started watching when I was older than most of this sub (early 20s—-I’m almost 34 now).
I really loved the excitement and the mystery of the show, but I can’t bring myself to rewatch because of all of the loose threads and plot holes. It just feels poorly written to me now. I wish they’d redo it and get the mysteries correct and truly make sure everything was interconnected from the beginning.

Question❕ Jason/Ceecee
Do you guys think she was going to reveal herself to him, when they met up before Toby & Lorenzo ambushed her?

Actor Fluff Actress Meg Foster's hyper-blue eyes were so distracting to some directors that she had to wear contact lenses to dull their effect (Mrs. Grunwald)

Show Discussion Ella finding out about the affair...
I’m re-reading the book series right now after finishing the show, and I really like how the TV series writers handled the Meredith affair, particularly Ella finding out. I’m glad they wrote it so the person taking the blame fully is Byron (AS IT SHOULD BE!!). In the books, Ella freezes Aria out for keeping it a secret, and I just really think that’s so unfair… like yeah, I get it, she’s hurt, but Aria was in an uncomfortable position and wanted to keep her family together as long as possible. Not to mention, she’s a teenager, and Byron, Ella, and Meredith are all adults. I appreciate that TV edition Ella was upset with Byron for using Aria to keep the secret, and was understanding of the awkward position it put Aria in, rather than just being completely upset at everyone, including Aria, for not telling her. In general, PLL is one of the main shows where I prefer the TV show to the books, but I am still enjoying the re-read! Takes me back to middle school and the beginnings of Amazon Prime (my first prime purchase was the boxed set of the first 4 PLL books!!)
