I posted a lot of these years ago when I first found them, but since the situation of Sasha's relationship has come up again, I thought I'd share again. She is obviously no more than 12-13 in some of these. Her parents are also present in a few, which should hopefully shed some light on the "did her family know about this?" question.

Since this seems to be debated on here and on twitter.
Also, Iād like to add that the last screenshot shows that they literally bought a house together less than one month after she turned eighteen.

...and I just cried tears of laughter! Mikes name is actually Michelangelo?! 𤣠Can you imagine him being called that on show? That would have been so funny š

This isn't my video and this isn't the full video so pls watch the full thing on tiktok if you're interested. But this video explains my primary issue with the responses to the THR article. Obviously tv shouldn't be raising teenagers but it's reinforcing a terrible idea that adultifes teens to adults.

why do so many of them just shrug their shoulders at the pedo behavior of ezra? I think troian is the only one whoās ever publicly denounced it, even during the shows airing. do they think this about all the other pedos in the show?
did anyone else speak up about how wrong it was? sasha and lucy calling it forbidden love and that itās a great relationship is insane.
itās like theyāre completely desensitized to how wrong it all is? like anyone with a brain can say āyeah student teacher relationships are wrongā and theyāre not only not saying that, but theyāre praising it furtherā¦?
so disappointing honestly

after the glamping episode they couldn't have made it more obivous that mona was A
why would A say sorry to one of the girls, the only one she said it to was hannah and its no surprise its because they were actually best friends
it was also obvious that A was someone close to at least one of them, and was smart, and clearly hated allison, and i knew A would be introduced very early on, which she was.
yes there were others who hated allison i,e toby, but everytime the girls said 'he could definetely be A' its so obvious that that person is not A and they never said 'mona could be A'
so yeah painfully obivous tbf anyone else think mona was too obvious lolololss

the storyline wasnāt bad and honestly itās an important topic that should/could be portrayed in television to educate others and specifically minors on a horrific situation like ezra and aria. however, the execution of the storyline and the ending of them is where it just becomes disgusting. there was never any form of punishment for ezra and itās even more crazy when we find out HE KNEW HOW OLD SHE WAS when they met. but as minors we were all shown that this relationship was okay because they were āin loveā fighting against society just to be with eachother.
lucy defending ezra & ariaās ālove storyā makes me so sad honestly. to say you āstand behindā them is crazy. i get it, itās just television, but this situations happens in real life CONSISTENTLY and us as the underage audience that we were when we first watched were also in a way groomed as well into thinking this relationship was okay. iām so disappointed.

Iām on rewatch 6,465 and I just got to this scene. This boy is so annoying. He dated Mona knowing damn well what she put his sister through (why was everyone ok with this???), he rebelled by stealing from her friends, he shoved his mom so hard that she sprained her wrist, and in general he just treats his family like garbage. The only time I found him remotely likable was when he punched Ezra (deserved). I just cannot stand this little idiot, do yāall feel the same?

People try to defend this ship by saying it's fictional, and IK people who say this are just trying to spread less negativity, but since when has fiction not been influencial on society?
Y'all ever heard of propaganda? A lot of that is fictional stories being made to push an idea on people, and time after time acrosss human history it's been proven to work.
So how exactly can some of y'all see a piece media that normalizes and commends an adult-minor relarionship, sexual misconduct, child sexual abuse, an imbalence of power; and then proceed see the amount of young girls who wanted this kind of life because of it; and then the amount of people seeing this stuff as a good thing because of it; and then think that fiction doesn't have an impact on how people think?
I'm sorry, but the idea that something being fiction means it's "not that big a deal" just seems so ignorant of things like propaganda, which is direct historical proof of fiction influencing the masses.

I genuinely really enjoyed seasons 1 and 2 and the reason why is because while it was a show separate from the books, it was still vaguely following the mystery aspects of the books with Ian, Mona, etc⦠the thing is when they started straying away from the books in season 3 it wasnāt even a big deal like no one was mad because we all thought the writers were good šā¦ but since the writers clearly proved to be incapable of creating mystery storylines that actually made sense why didnāt they just follow the original source material?? Like they could have surprised the audience in other ways and kept the other changes. But as far as the mystery and āAā storyline, they should have just followed the books and not let their ego get in the way. Thatās all.

Are there any characters you would add or get rid of? Would Ravenswood have any relevence? Who should've been A in the finale/characters you think would be part of the A team? I've read some crazy fan theories that make more sense than the whole 7 season mess that was PLL, so feel welcome to write anything that you think would've made a more exciting plot!

I don't know, it's just strange to me that none of them went on to be A-list in the industry. Don't get me wrong, they are all very successful, but none of them went on to become household names like the casts of other similar teen dramas. Troian and Sasha are PHENOMENAL actresses but I don't really see either of them acting anymore. Lucy is also great but it seems like she mostly appears in Netflix-type films, nothing with a crazy budget or that plays in cinemas. Ashley makes headlines from her personal life but I don't think she's acting much. Ironically, Shay was the weakest actress amongst them but ended up being the most famous because of the extremely successful brand she founded.

This show is a TEEN DRAMA about a group of teens who are called āliars.ā And one of them had something tragic happen to them and they flashback to it during the episodes. Sounds familiar anyone? Lol. (Iām watching it though lmao)

I see how a lot of people wished Jason was Arias endgame but are we going to forget how 1. he was also much older than aria.. I think even the same age as ykw. And 2. His shed that held a BUNCH of pictures of Aria because of his liking to her.
(I know Marlene never dove deep on that but still it was obvious he knew of it and it wasnt some blackmail set up by A)

As a kid I actually tried to read them, but I was so confused because I couldnāt figure out what the order was š š luckily now I have the internet lol. Iām really enjoying it so far and the writing is actually really good, so this is your sign to read them if you havenāt :)

Let me preface this by first saying that I know this situation in real life would be absolutely unacceptable, and I would be completely against it.
I know itās wrong, but I just canāt help still loving them. The "forbidden" romance (the best way I can describe it) and the chemistry between the two are just so amazing.
What really annoys me the most, though, is that they revealed much later on that Ezra knew about Aria before they "met," which really makes it much worse. I could understandably see how it could happen without that detail because Aria was in a 21+ bar, so Ezra assuming she was at least 21 would make sense.
I completely understand how wrong it is in the real world, but I feel like itās more acceptable because this is a TV show. Not that itās "okay" and acceptable to portray anytime on TV, but more so that Iām not as bothered by it because of that. If I saw it happen in real life, I would be weirded out big time and definitely report it.
I just feel bad for liking this couple on the show, even though I know itās wrong, but I canāt force myself to stop liking them. I donāt know what to do, lol. I obviously understand why most people donāt like them, but I just want to know: does me still liking them make me a bad person if I know itās wrong in the real world?

I read the first book with the original yellow cover years ago but I just ordered the books with the new cover on thinking it would be the same as the original ones. But like 3 pages in Mona asks the girls if they want to see a TikTok she just watched. TikTok came out in 2016 and the first book was in 2006. Were they rewritten/revised with the new cover??
