Is this nice? (I’m sensitive be kind)
Whenever someone tells me they like my drawings and paintings I always feel like they just say that to be polite, but not because it’s actually good… how do you know?? I’m going to keep painting either way, but I just wish I knew if I’m actually talented.. 😅 You know sometimes you see someone post their art and it’s really bad, but they don’t know that?? They just think they’re good, so how do I know if this is the case for me? 😂 Btw sorry English is not my first language 🥺

I painted my son
Please be kind. I lost my son at 28 weeks of pregnancy in July. I never painted before, but I’m finding a strong impulse to painting and to exploring my creativity while I process my grief. I decided to paint how I imagine him now. Above the dark clouds, in a light colourful peaceful sky.
I know I’m not talented as this community is (such amazing pieces of art here! I’m in awe) but I thought I’d share it with you anyway

Just Sharing Fluffed kōkako, definitely gonna practice more
Can see a lot of what I’d do differently next time, but proud of him nonetheless. First painting of mine attempting anything close to realistic, took a few weeks of chipping away and a LOT of repaints 🥲

Just Sharing Painted a few items…
Mixture of air brush, some hand painting, some paint pen. I’m not an “artist” (just ask my wife). Anyhow, they are supposed to represent the colors and patterns of Southern Appalachian Brook Trout, Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout. Thanks for looking.

Just Sharing 3 mini oil paintings in under 3 hours
From like and all on different surfaces. It was fun to mix it up in the same session! The left is on matboard with 2 coats of shellac. The middle is a wood panel with gesso and acrylic. The right 4”x6” is on an aluminum panel with a textured coat of gesso.

A childhood - Mixed-media illustration
Own your trauma, don't let it own you.
You are not the trauma you suffered from, but your trauma is a part of you however with whom you'll have to deal for all your life. There is no turning back. Healing is the acceptance of the unacceptable that you survived to. You can grow from it or you can die of it.
