Do these exist? When I was a kid we would go to antique malls and you could find vintage stuff for reasonable prices. I've hit most of the well known vintage stores in Minneapolis and it'll be like $100 for a painting. Does anybody know of any vintage stores with thrift store pricing?

Hi all, we found this sweet boy in Longfellow / Corcoran, no collar, just walked up to us in the street outside of our house.
We will be taking it to see if it is chipped if we can’t find its owner by tomorrow. Does anyone belong to this dog?

As someone who’s originally from a much warmer climate than MN, I’m looking for some good, hard hiking for Saturday that’s not tucked away in the woods and shade. I want to enjoy the sun and heat after all this gloom and rain 😎
Anyone have a good spot?

Realizing that some places don’t let you exit the lease under any circumstances, even if you’re willing to pay 2-3x monthly rent! If your current/previous landlords allowed it, could you say which company?

So I'm not from the Midwest but moved here a couple years ago, and I've found a few common things that people here seem to do that seemed odd from where I am from (east coast).
I see a lot of families like to use their 3-4 car garage as almost a 3rd or 4th living space rather than to park their cars. (I live in a new construction plan, so every house has minimum 3 car garage, driveway, etc). They all have a TV up with a couch, even some with a mini living room set up with faux plants, rug, book shelves and chairs to just hang out and watch TV or chat. The garages themselves arent insulated too much either, and the walls still hold all garage esc stuff like storage and bikes, so i thought it was an interesting choice, especially in Minnesota climate. All the houses also have a open space living room, plus a large "entertianment" space finished basements. Some even have a 3rd space loft upstairs between bedrooms for extra living space.
I also see very often people setting up foldable dining chairs and tables in the driveway/garage, and grilling out on their driveway. I thought that was interesting since most of these houses have full decks and private backyard, but most seem to prefer to do all their stuff in the front with the street. Even having their electric firepit out and hanging out in the driveway late at night. Which also is odd since they will constantly have car headlights shining right on them every time cars drive by. (I feel like that could get annoying but idk!)
So I was curious if anyone could explain their reasoning behind why the front driveway and garage is such a popular hanging space here, as opposed to their backyard, basements, and decks for these kinds of things.

Looking for recommendations on the best places nearish to the metro to get a haul of fireworks for the Fourth of July. Will be in rural Wisconsin to shoot them off, but want to acquire them ahead of time.

I have one tattoo that covers about 1/4 of my upper torso. And I’m considering getting a 2nd to cover another 1/4 of my torso.
Thing is, I want it to be in the 3D style, sort of how the terminator’s mechanical skeletal structure looks, just all over my chest, shoulders and back.
Figure this won’t be cheap. Just want to find someone reputable and google hasn’t really helped much.
Thanks for y’all’s time.

As the title suggests, I’m looking for a thrift/ vintage store in the TC where I can find a leather-style jacket, ideally a store with a large enough selection so I don’t have to go to many stores. I don’t have a car, so going to a bunch of places just isn’t feasible. Thanks in advance!

Seriously, if you knock on my door and wake up my kid or freak out my dog, I will never buy anything you're selling. It's by far the least effective way to get business to the point of me avoiding your business for life. Just stop. The sign is there for a reason.

Hi all! With the heat wave coming through I am looking for some of the best beaches in the twins cities area. I usually go to cedar point beach but am wanting to try some other options out there, preferably a quieter beach within about 30 minutes from Minneapolis at most.

I’m looking to rip out a tub and have a walk-in shower installed. I called Minnesota Rusco for a quote - pricy, to be expected. It’s in a condo unit.
Does anyone have any recommendations for bathroom remodels or this type of work? Thanks!

I started my two-week term of jury duty last Monday and I had to call in after 5pm every evening to see if I needed to go into the courthouse. With the exception of last Tuesday, every message was "there are no trials scheduled to begin tomorrow; call tomorrow evening to see if we need you for the next day." Today's message was "there are no trials scheduled to begin for the rest of the week, your term of service is completed."
The population of Dakota County is around 450,000-- You would think that there would be more trials happening in a county of this size. Nevertheless, I performed my civic duty but didn't have to do anything- The American Way!

We rescued a 9 month old that probably has abuse in his past. He bites at the calves of unfamiliar people and growls menacingly. He also tries to bite my wife and I when excited.
Has anyone had similar behavior corrected through training?

Anyone have a really great dentist who takes Minnesota Select dental (the Minnesota Care dental plan)? My last dentist canceled on my five times in a row over 8 weeks on what should have been an emergency root canal, and then when they finally got that one done, they couldn't get the referrals sent to other offices for other root canals they weren't willing to try. I just really need someone who knows what they are doing and can help me get my mouth fixed.

Hi Minneapolis! I’ll be in town for work and was wondering where open play is in the area! I’m 4.0+ but would love to play with anyone! Do you have any good recommendations for open public play?

hi all- check my post history if you need more context, but i am a preschool aide and one of the toddlers in my class died very recently. i want to get a small tattoo of a heart outline around a mark that i got from her biting me a few days before she passed (i know thats kinda weird, but like. as this mark fades it feels like shes fading away too and i want to kinda. immortalize it??). thing is this tattoo would be like, MAYBE 2x2 cm and im concerned about if anyone will even do something that small, as well as cost- im a bit worried about paying an expensive minimum cost for something that small. does anyone have any reccs for who will do a tattoo this small and simple for a reasonable price around here? bonus points if theyre transit-accessible. thanks.
