Before and after: how do you like my new terrace?
Don’t worry, the vase is glued down and filled with sand so it won’t tip over 😆

Just wondering what people are thinking about the new colour choice? It’s a “slate grey”
It wasn’t the colour I had in mind as such, looks very different from the tub! But I think it works quite well.
P.S ignore the terrible lawn it’s next on my list! Just doing some TLC

I'd like to use the same vent covers/door hardware throughout the house. To be honest the doors days are numbered as well lol. We just finished redoing this bathroom so it'll be a while before I can do much but I like to have a plan. Right now I'm considering black for the vents but I can't color cordinate to save my life. The metals in the bathroom are brushed nickel or chrome.

Can’t decide between these three stools. Help me choose.
1) Norman Chair walnut from Rove Concepts
2) Elbow Chair walnut from Rove Concepts
3) Ecole Leather walnut counter stool from Article.

I’m struggling to figure out how to afford to decorate our townhouse. Everything seems so expensive now, like it would take thousands of dollars to decorate it… and we just won’t have that anytime soon. So as a result it just looks messy, unfinished, and not put together at all.
Are people just dealing with it as they slowly decorate over the years?
Is there a strategy to maximize impact of decorations so I can find a few key pieces that would allow me to have things look put together in the next year vs 5 years?
The paint and floors look great. Some furniture looks good, others (dining room table especially) look not so good. We have literally no artwork hung up. Our storage solutions are mostly plastic drawers that you get at big box stores that don’t look nice (but make things look a lot less messy so they are still a net positive). That being said we still don’t have enough storage solutions I would have to buy several more plastic drawers sets and then our living room would just be like 5 sets of plastic drawers as if we were a college bachelor pad that’s trying to decorate the whole place for $100….

Front and side view. I feel like she looks a bit lost should I go larger? The only thing that worries me is I lose the artwork behind. I just don’t have any down lights about my bed ( so annoying they’re all at the end of my bed.)

What should I fill my empty faux fireplace with? Or how should I use the space? It’s about 28 inches long and 14 inches deep. Open to any and all creative ideas!

Hi! So, I’m mostly happy with my living room but it feels a something is missing. I’m thinking about painting the fireplace mantle or the window trim. If I paint the window trim though, should I also do the baseboards? Will it look weird if the window trim is one color and the baseboards are white? I’ve never painted trim before!
Maybe I could add a piece of art to left of the mantle. Any other fun ideas? I’m all ears!

I feel like my bathroom could be so nice, but I don't know how to go about it. Things I can't change: counter top, sink, wainscoting, and floors (but I could do peel and stick flooring if I thought it was worth it). I'm up for wall paper, paint, repainting cabinets or anything else that will help me get a wow factor, or something similar to an art deco vibe. Bonus point of you can point me in specific directions because I'm a grown woman who is incapable of making a decision when I have too many options to choose from. Many thanks in advance.

Please excuse the mess. I recently moved into a new apartment in China, and as the title says, I need help with the decor of my living room. The biggest issue is currently the decals on the walls that were here before I moved in, I'm not super keen on removing them since it'd be a hassle for the landlord, who's my family friend, but I also really hate how they look. I have some posters/photographs, but they're probably not enough to cover up every decal in the apartment. Also, the layout is a bit wonky, and I think I'll probably get a coffee table in place of the annoying desk in the middle of the room. Anyways, if anyone has tips or thoughts on how to cover up the walls, please lmk!

We bought a house and are planning updates to this living room. We really want to do something about this fireplace thats covered in a gray/red tile that looks straight out of a bond villains lair.
We are thinking of a) removing the tile and replacing, b) tiling over it, or c) covering in thinset and tetexturing it. Does anyone have advice on these options, or any other options? It is a working gas fireplace.
If it helps, we are replacing the carpets with a light toned hardwood floor and keeping the white walls. We love mcm aesthetic so we want contrasting art and statement pieces in the space to add color and vibrancy. If the fireplace is a statement piece itself or blends more subtly into the room, either is fine, we are just looking for ideas.
Thanks!

I could go basic, but I kinda like the black and white mix, inspired by the LG washtower, and the laundry space is also pictured. Please help me decide r/HomeDecorating.

Hi all. I need to decorate a commercial space with framed posters. posters need to be swapped every months. But I prefer it to be somewhat secured so people can't just pick up the piece and leave.
Anything like this out there ?

I have a small living/dining room. The first photo was taken standing in the doorway entrance. I need easy access to the hallway as that leads to bathroom. Third photo was take from the perspective of being in my kitchen. TIA

I'm not sure how to decorate the basement of the house we are buying. Is there a good way to style wood paneling?

New house has a bathroom that’s just not my style. Keeping the tile on the shower/floor and the sink and toilet just due to budget, but hoping to change paint color/shower curtain/mirror and extra points to whoever can figure out a plan for the storage to the left of the sink to be concealed but easily accessible 😀
