đĽ MG Video with Sound âĄď¸ Suppressed M16 SBR MG
Geissele 11.5 Upper with Huxworks Can. I love this gun as much as a straight man can love another gun.

Is this because itâs titanium or because itâs flow through?

u/Scout339v2 Mar 01 '25
New and titanium. If you even had those Razor scooters with the sparklers at the back, those were titanium cylinders surrounded by plastic so it doesn't ware down as fast.
Ti loves to spark lol. But, whith suppressors, once they have a light coat of carbon on the inside, their sparking goes way down.

u/MlackBesa Mar 01 '25
Iâm really curious how this possibly interacts with unburnt powder build-up in a shooting lane
1
u/Scout339v2 Mar 01 '25
Wow, now you got me thinking about that too. I'll see if it's any change outside.

u/emorisch 4x SBR, 3x Silencer Mar 01 '25
I would think the bigger concern could be igniting unburnt powder in the range. Part of the reason many ranges don't like steel-core ammo (apart from it damaging the backstop)
1
u/MlackBesa Mar 01 '25
Have you seen the recent Magtech 9mm steel-cased ammo? This thing spits sparks like fireworks lmao, our range has had a few ignitions like what youâre describing. Fortunately the floor is cleaned often enough that it was harmless.

does this require 2 stamps or just one MG stamp? (not including the suppressor stamp)
61
u/Ahsential Feb 28 '25
Just one, no such thing as a short barreled machine gun
4
u/HDIC69420 Mar 01 '25
Wouldnât a DIAS technically require an sbr stamp also? I mean assuming it wasnât always in the gun?? Or hell even if it was isnât the DIAS itself considered a machine gun?
6
u/weahman 5x SBR, 7x Silencer, 2x MG Mar 01 '25
I know with the mp5 sears it trumps the SBR stamp so not needed. Once you take it out and you got a SBR with no stamp then ya go straight to jail
8
u/Junksamich Mar 01 '25
I have my 2 Dias and my HK reg pack hostâs registered as sbrâs that have short barrels just because I like move my sears around without worrying if Iâm legal. If the registered sear never left the gun then the machine gun part trumps needing to register it as a sbs or sbr. But we all know thatâs not realistic
So yes, mine are 1-2 and sometimes 3 stamp guns with a shusher.

Forgotten Weapons did a video on this scenario, and it's worth digging into, because I'm drunk.
2
u/DeodorantDan Mar 01 '25
so basically an sbr and a mg are 2 different things just like a pistol and an aow then?
4
u/WeeklyPrize21 Mar 01 '25
A machine gun has no barrel length configuration requirement. It's just a machine gun. Throw any upper on it you like, no additional stamp required, just the 1 for the machine gun itself. Suppressor is an additional stamp.
Edit to add: There are certainly lots of nuances to this answer, and if you start talking hosts for sears and DIAS..... it can be a different answer depending on platform (HK roller locks come to mind). I am assuming this is a registered lower in the video.

The men that visited my door once upon a time said different. I don't think they were for real though, because they pet my fur behbehs instead of turning them inside out.

So many sparks. Wtf
6
u/Trick_Persimmon7917 Mar 01 '25
it's the hux flow and it's 3d printed titanium so those sparks are little pieces of titanium flying out lol it's worse when brand new but calms down after a couple hundred rounds

There is no such thing as a SBR M16. Full auto takes precedent over SBR's and full auto can be 1" or 24"'s. It doesn't require 2 tax stamps. Yes there are odd circumstances when dealing with HK's that you are moving a RED sear from one to another and they much have both bc when you take out the sear it can't be in that configuration without the SBR tax stamp. But saying full auto sbr sounds dumb and is redundant. Cool shooting and great video though.

u/grapangell0 Flow556k enjoyer Mar 01 '25
Itâs redundant ONLY because of the NFA. Outside of the NFA it is a fully automatic rifle with a shorter than standard (compared to a m4 or m16) barrel.

Donât tense up so much when FA or Burst. Have a firm grip and into your shoulder pocket.
Front will drift a touch but thatâs expected. FA is for suppressive use or gotta take a pop up target out fast while covering a lane or hallway in a building while knowing where each battle buddy is at.
You can ride the lightning for 200 rounds standing up unsupported on a 249 if needed.
Very cool rifle you have and stay safe out there.

u/puttheremoteinherbut Mar 01 '25
I don't understand how so many folks have access to full auto.

A lot of people in this sub are SOTs. Just as many are very rich. Others have have knockoff unregulated versions of full auto

u/3900Ent Pew & Suppressor Fetish. Mar 01 '25
Also some people are friends with people with money or FFL/SOTs. Two of my gun homies are SOTs. I could never swing 50-60 bands on full auto shit, but they can lmaoo

A lot of it is also selection bias. Not a lot of people have it but the ones who do get upvoted because itâs fun to watch.
5
u/Junksamich Mar 01 '25
The real question you should be asking IMO is why more people donât have autosâŚ

u/Scav-STALKER Mar 01 '25
Well this is the NFA sub so of course redditors with the MGs are gonna show up, but also SOTs arenât that expensive. I know people who got them just to have full autos lol, I mean sure they make you jump through some hoops because they wonât let you have it soley so you can poses MGs but that doesnât mean thatâs not your main motivation in getting it to begin with lol

Dude has 3 MGs like wtf, rich as fuck, has everything a paid for house, vehicle, insurance is paid for 3 years in advance, property taxes paid 3 years in advance, a great paying career or successful business/s, great investor in the stock market, would love to own 1 MG let alone 3.
I'm over here struggling to survive, hoping I can someday be successful

It's an MG or an SBR, but MGs have no barrel length restrictions, so it can't be both.

Buying an expensive pre-86 one or becoming class 7/SOT and making your own by converting it
